Which landboard to choose?
So I've been kiting for a few weeks now and I've been really enjoying it. I want to get into kite landboarding and I don't really know what board to
choose. My budget is around $250ish.
I'm looking for something preferably shorter and I've been looking at the Prodigy 90, Flight 93 (if i can get a good deal on it), the MBS core 90, or
the new GI catalyst. of these 4, which one would you recommend? I am also open to other brands but I don't want something that will fall apart.
:wink2:
Also, is it even possible to learn to kite landboard with only a 5m ace (I have no harness/strop)

I live in Charlotte, NC and I weigh about 145. There arent any shops around here that carry landboards. Wind is usually gets to 10 mph about 2-3
days a week. Other than that it's low

Your budget seems right for those boards and shipping second hand. What becomes available may influence you ?
That 5m ace will take you a long way , if you respect the heck out of it !If I am traveling and only take one kite ( that I don't mind losing ) I take
it.
It flies in very low wind and can take you in to some pretty high winds as you gain skill. Use common sense about what is too much wind . It is a LOT
of kite for a beginer. It is not my favorite kite for jumping. If anything it held me back in that skill.
Kites: 2.5m Profoil , Quadrifoil XL kitesurfer, NPW 5 Danger.
Flexifoil: 1.7m Sting, 4.9m Blade 3, 9m Blade 2.
Flysurfer : 19m Speed 2 SA, 7m Pulse
Peter Lynn :18m Phantom, 15m Synergy, 10m Synergy, 1200 Farc, 460 Sarc, 130 Tarc, 5m Peel, 4.2m , 6.4, 8.5 C-Quads, 3.5 LS2 single skin.
Rides: Flexi / P.L. Frankin'Buggy , Shaped + straight skiis, sand skis, Coyote blades. Core 95 ATB. RKB R2 ATB .

GI Catalyst board
I just got my 2010 GI catalyst board this week and I am extremely impressed with its strength and durablility. I weigh around 275 lbs and the board
supports me just fine. And for 199.99 plus shipping you can't go wrong with a deal like that.

MBS comp 90 is probably the best of that bunch.
In my opinion landboards are not that price sensitive in terms of performance anyway - Not when you are a beginner - in fact all the way until you are
getting regular airtime.
Then lightweight decks, rachet bindings and higher quality components that will take the impacts start to come good.
Pretty much any board will see you through the basics.
15m Naish Fly,12m & 7.5m Naish Cults, 10m & 12m Naish Parks, 9m Naish Bolt, 6m & 14m Naish X3's, 13m PL Venom, 10m & 6m Ozone
Access,
