My hair moved!

I went out to bring in some wood for the fire. and my hair moved. I suddenly remembered that is caused by wind.(it's been a long time) So I am going to see what happens in the field with the buggy. If I survive I'll report back later! ;-)

OK so I promissed an update. I live at the bottom of a 1/2 mile deep valley. Not a rolling hills type. It is a river cut steep valley. The wind was blowing steady at my house in the thick woods.
So like a fool I packed every thing up and headed a couple miles up to the top of the hill where it was very windy earlier. Well not when I got there. The flag on the pole was hanging limp like my spirit. But I said to myself it will pick up. And it did. 5-10mph on my meter. So I set the kite up rolled the buggy out onto the field. And proceded to sit on it and wait for the wind.
As we all know the wind always blows best after every thing is put away. But I was being possitive. I sat there for 45 minutes or so. Oh sure I got teased and whent a few feet at a time. But nothing to get excited about.
So I said never mind and started to pack up. Not a minute after my bridles where braided and my kite in the bag it was blowing. But the buggy was on the car and I was saddened. And that is the way it is.:(

Actually I wouldn't mind a couple of 0-low wind days... as that's the range for the kites I have picked up in the last two days.

More a matter of clearing the decks of work, errands and repeated rounds of freezing rain.... once the marrow cools off, the spirit withers a bit.

ATB,
Sam

Ya know, the last 6 mos, have pretty much sucked for buggyin around here.
maybe the new year will be BREEZY.
Roc, I would hate to add up the money I have lost by leaving early or laying out to go kiting. If I wasn't the weldngod, they would probably fire my sorry a$$. But they need my skills.

that sucks. : \
the problem here is that whenever its windy it's also rainy...
OR the winds are too high for my one kite is what's been happening lately.. about one day of the week there will be 20g30 winds or so... for example tomorrow is 23 g34... with morning rain
oh well.

Yah, we have snow in the very early morning tomorrow switching over to rain and that's pretty much the tone for the remainder of the day.

We got about 2 inches of snow last night. It is supposed to turn to rain soon. But as we all know the wind will be blowing while it rains the whole day!!
