possible Synergy 12
a buddy of mine has a Synergy 12 in excellent shape and debating selling it - thought I'd throw it out there if there is any interest and I'll either
coax him onto the forum or post his price and info.

Why is it no one has posted a good Synergy reviews. Haven't really seen one in action, might have to fill a hole in my quiver probably a 10M.

I was really impressed with the Synergy going from the scorpions and Venoms. The first two I put out I put up was a 15 Synergy and it was for a
smaller guy that replaced a 16 Venom 2 with the 15 Syn. When he hit the ice he was a little panicked at first that he thought it had more power than
his 16 venom and was worried it was too big for him being a smaller guy. The wind dropped of and he got used to it quickly that afternoon. Since then
it has been well used for winter and then surfing all summer and he likes it quite a bit more over the Venom 2.
That same day I then brought out a Synergy 12 while 2 guys were out on Syn 15's. I was thinking I'd just pop it up to test fly thinking it wouldn't do
much in that wind for me. Only partially inflated and new (fabric is always harder to pop open) it launched easily climbing to the zenith where I gave
it a couple of coaxing tugs to top inflation. What really surprised me was in the lighter wind I was getting some really nice floating jumps off a
little kicker we were playing on. It turned into a great afternoon and I found the 12 Synergy an excellent kite for the end of the winter - far easier
launching in the gusty crap winds than the Scorpions. And when I would have switched to the 10 Scorpion I was fine riding the 12 Synergy up into some
really good winds - super stable. Took that 12 with only a few hours of flight time on it along with a brand new 8m Synergy to NABX and those were the
kites stolen when we arrived (they got the rods so I assume the Rasta one is hanging as a flag someplace?).
I've never been a big fan of the larger sizes of twinskins - I like the solid feel of the kite especially in the top end of wind ranges so 16 down
have been my favorites. But I did fly a 19 Syn I picked up for a buddy and liked it a lot more than the Venom 19. I actually felt a little more nimble
for a big kite and delivered better power on the water but for me I usually go to a larger open cell foil for the really light wind on land.
Synergies are really nice kites out of the twinskin range up to the Chargers. I prefer them to my Scorpions but they were also a newer kite and older
kites loose a bit off performance with age.
The Charger had a similar feel to the Synergy but a bit stiffer with the extra cells and again a very quick turning kite. I wouldn't say it's night
and day between a Synergy and Charger - a lot of similarities in feel but the Charger is an incremental step up in performance in combination with the
long throw bar. Would most people notice the differences - if you push your kites around a lot and get the most out of them then yes you will notice
differences.
Out with all the twinskin users in my area we have a collection of every type made with us so it's easy enough to say here take them for a ride and
compare yourself - different people want different handling characteristics.

I'll ask, I'm sure he would be open to it. I think he has a dedicated bar and lines for each kite right now.
He picked it up around February last year and used it a few times in the winter (Feb/Mar). Not sure if he used it on the water he has a mix of kites.
We are just starting winter kiting now and he's getting a 15 and has another kite that is a 10 so he's thinking that 12 may be jumped over once he has
the 15.
At this point he hasn't said anything more than "maybe I should sell the 12 if I get a 15, let me know if there is any interest"
OOps, just realized I have this in "wanted" rather than "for sale" section, d'oh!
