Does MBS suck or do I?
So I just discovered at the end of my last ATB session that both trucks on my Comp90 had cracked/broken around the main bolt and near the rotation
pegs. One truck was especially wobbly with a crack all the way across the bolt hole, but both were still in place held in by their bolts. This is the
second MBS board that I have managed to damage in just my first year of ATB/downhill mountainboarding!
I'm still a beginner/novice so I'm not doing any big air or anything. The last MBS I had, I cracked the deck after a couple of months, but it was an
older model and was purchased used. I have no idea how long the trucks on my new board have been cracked, but I'm wondering how I've managed to break
two boards that are supposed to be bombproof.
So, my only clue is that the little bolts on the truck assembly where it attaches to the deck turned out to be slightly loose too. I have been
slacking a bit on board maintenance lately, checking the nuts and bolts less and less frequently. Could this be my fault for not keeping everything
tight?

I also have had problems with the matrix trucks (plastic looking base plates). I think I'm eventually going to buy some all metal skate style trucks
for kiting. I broke one in half at the begenning of a session once and it ruined my day

Sorry, I didn't specify. These were the vector trucks, and it was the metal part that broke!

Contact MBS and find out if they have had any problems batches.
However, running them loose probably didn't help matters.
If they were backing out, probably should have opted for some teflon tape or Blue Loctite to ensure they stayed tight longer between sessions.
The Vectors are supposed to be able to take a fair amount of abuse though:
"Added features such as a flat grind surface and the stainless M10 king pin and hardware guarantee that the Vector will be loved by weight-conscious
kiteboarders, mountainboarders and skate park riders alike."

ive never had problems with any MBS board i've owned since 2000
I've launched with some height and kicked the board off in mid air, and its been together in one piece.
if you own a board with matrix trucks, i suggest that you tighten everything up, drop in some egg shocks too. check that your straps are tightened
after every 3rd ride.
doesnt matter what board you buy, one of my asian cousins probably assembled it.
best thing i can suggest is that you contact MBS, explain your issues, and they should/will replace it.
any brand that advertises its for kite landboarding should understand that we're going to subject that board to extreme heights, failed landings, and
many unspoken things. hehehe.
you science dudes could probably explain this better. if A person jumps B height, when A person comes down C weight would be more than actually
weight???

rip, that would be "dynamic load" vs"static load" basically ,the rule of thumb is dynamic loading can be as much as 10 x the weight of said load

I just want to throw something out there for all "would-be" MBS customers. I have not had people coming back to be with broken equipment (knock on
wood), but I will say make sure your equipment is tight. MBS boards come completely assembled and people take for granted that everything is tight.
Just be sure when you pull it out of the box to make sure and tighten everything nice and snug. I have found alot of loose bolts in the past.
I think Rips Asian brothers are as small as he is and can't quite get everything tight enough

I gotta stand up for MBS also. Never had a problem and they've been good about replacement parts (when my father in law ran over my board with the
Jeep the base plate of one of the Matrix trucks broke).
