HQ Rush III broken

I broke my brandnew HQ Rush III (model 200) after 1 hour of flying in 17-18 knots. It crashed about 6 or 7 times, and not even hard...
The tubes (or however theyre called) are destroyed/torn from back to front.
Is the gear so extremely fragile, or am i not supposed to even let this kite touch the ground in middle of the wind-window?
Ps, i’m a moderate skilled kitesurfer, so i know what i’m doing. Just bought this thing for the winter days.

I’m just wondering if i should bring it back to the store, or just don’t be a baby (that shouldnt have bought the cheapest powerkite around) and get myself some spinnaker tape.
Thanks in advance.

Wasn't there recently a few of these that the internal vents were not hot cut, therefore splitting inside? I think maybe snobdr had repaired one or two? Sounds like this one may have had multiple failure?

I'm not sure if a hotcut is a hole in the middle of the tubes? They're here...

Anyway the tubes are 'split' along the arrows.

And Maven, I'm going to contact them, but I kinda hoped that this issue was easy to repair by myself.

Yes talk to your dealer. I am surprised at this. My Beamer IV 3m has been pounded into the ground leading edge first at full speed many time in the hands of new fliers and never burst a cell when I would have expected it to. HQ posts the wind range at 6- 29 mph for that Rush. Did you hit any object or just the ground?

I was on a clean beach (with fine sand) without any objects around, and i was flying with 17 knots straight, gusts of 20 knots max. This kite should be resistant to 26 knots, like the packaging says.

Spinnaker tape should do it if you clean the fabric first with alcohol wipes. KiteFix FiberFix would be stronger but maybe heavy for that small a kite.

dont try to repair it. call HQ first, if you try to repair it yourself you will void whatever warranty they might offer. i had the exact same problem with my BeamerIV 1.4. the internal ribbing had ripped from top to bottom. at first i thought that i had brought it down hard, but my friends said it never slammed. in any event a 5min phone call got me a brand new kite....;)
