I spent the New Years with family up in Bayfield, Wisconsin, north of Ashland and Chequamagon Bay on Lake Superior. Ice down in the bay was 10-14"
thick with 3-4" bonded & wind packed powder.
Great spot - easy to drive on at Ashland and very few fish houses to fly around, which also means minimal tire ruts and ice chunks to snag lines. No
other kiters any day I was out.
Aaron - you must have flown there before. Can't figure we don't hear more about it in the Twin Cities/Duluth area. Maybe it's the drive.
