de-power foil suggestions?

So all of you know that i'm a loyal dog to the PL brand. I fly inland, ride atb, and love big airs. However, i'm thinking about picking up a de-power foil such as ozone, or HQ (flysurfers are out of my budget). I'd like to find a foil that will be similar in characteristics to my scorpions. I'd like to find one with good lift. I know that it's not going to be a perfect crossover, but what kite model would you guys offer me would be good for atb and big airs? I'd like to do some research for a few weeks before I make a decision and figured i'd start here. So which de-power foil (besides PL kites) will take me to the sky?

Possibly the new HQ Neos II? I just recently flew a 11m Neo and its quite the kite, plenty of power in the right winds.
Clam cleat is different for me though, cant say I like it more than the pull-pull straps

An 11m foil should be a reasonable approximation of the 16m Scorpion.

HG Neo

I have 2 HQ Neo's - a 6 and 11m and 2 Ozone Access. The Neo's are much more lifty and when moving fast feel more powerfull. I bought the Neo as I want to have a go n water - and have so far with the 11m.

I really like the Neo (and the Access!) and would think the new Neo 2 would be even better. Neo is more exciting to fly, easy to launch but a bit of a faff when packing up as it takes a while to deflate. The new ver may have improved this? Neo is great if the wind is up and down or gusty as it holds its shape.

OZONE FOREVER!!!!

Sorry, got excited ;) If you go for a 12m Manta, make sure you start out easy, it's more powerful than you'll expect compared to the 16m Scorpion. In fact, you might want a 10m Manta instead. Don't know, depends on things like wind conditions. Make sure that you check the wind range on them. I will say that the Manta is definitely lifty :D.

there is a misconception about Flysurfer and price tag :: the outlaw is very affordable, is a fast kite, with good lift. it also has jet flaps (unlike ozone) thus absorbing gusts quite well for a foil. price compare to a Frenzy

from time to time, there are some Pyscho 3 and 4 available on the used market. The P4 is the one that has the biggest boost of all.

The price of an Outlaw is close to the price of a Manta. Frenzies are cheaper than the Manta or Outlaw.

[EDIT]From flysurfer-usa.com, "The patented Jet-Flap Technology has been build into the OUTLAW, contributing to a kite which gives you even more power and stability. Jet-Flaps are a vital part in increasing lift and reducing stalls, enabling you to ride safer." It doesn't say anything about improving gust handling.[/EDIT]

never a problem to deflate the neo. Open the zipper of course, fold tips together with bridles inside, then roll the bar up inside the kite starting from tips to folded center towards the open zipper. The air rushes out the zip as you go. You end up with a 10" by 6' roll that you can fold in thirds over the section with the bar inside.

The new Neo 2 has an un-ambiguous safety and they have corrected the annoying quirks of the old bar.

Thanks for the tip Angus ('fold tips together') Pack my kite differently but never thought to fold tips first to deflate. Works a treat

Sweet Ozone on a budget is the Access XT.....
Still high end Ozone quality!

Can get the Best prices for either FS or Ozone
At least they are the highest quality performance.

On the Access 4m here... It can perform...
But then I use it to teach beginners too..
