Let the research begin (Flysurfer SA2's)
Three questions to keep it simplified:
180lbs. Looking for the kite that will fly when the winds are sub-8 kts for snowkiting and just want to save the day with at least a light wind cruise
am I looking for a 19 or a 15?
Am I being realistic thinking I'm going to find a still white (IE: Not faded, dirtied or yellowed) SA
And - is there any way to verify the material is or is not the newer Skytex? (Can you check serial #'s? Is it marked on the kite or the bag
somewhere?)

thanks for asking this. Ive been contemplating ask the same questions. It seems like everyday i can snowkite the winds are 6-8kts and no good for my
current kites. However by the end of this thread Ill be hooked on getting a flysurfer, which probably isnt the most affordable thing for me right now

When the winds are that low they are usually not as gusty
why not just get a big FB foil for the snow
I was out on my bladeII 7.8 when a 19m speed2 was looking for more wind..
Mind you I am looking fo a good 15mSA2 for the water.
When I get one I will still use the blade for the light stuff on snow.

I think you should just change your name from Macboy to Goldilocks!
Kidding of course (sort of).

I used a 19m SA2 (also owned a 17m SA1) on the frozen lakes in Iowa - fantastic kite
Leebrianh let me use his 15m SA2 for a weekend to compare (thanks again!).
I weigh 160 lbs and I would definitely go for the 19 and the lightweight Skytex is a must
