Buggy Photos for the BLM
Hey Sailors,
Got a call from the BLM today and they are looking to put together a pamphlet on the various activities that go on at Ivanpah Dry Lake.
They're looking for good pictures of fun stuff.
(They know we drink beer out there but don't want it in the pics)
So if you have some fine photos of our wind-powered activities on Ivanpah and wouldn't mind a little fame (sorry-no fortune), please contact the
Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Needles, CA office at 760/326-7003
Tell them I sent you.
And Thank You.

Hey Blade,
I do believe they have e-mail but not a web site.
They are the ones to ask anyway.
I got the message on my answering machine this morning when I came in.
Seems not the whole world begins at 10am like me.
I have plenty of pics myself but thought it would be fun to get more people involved.

Ripper,
Please no beer pics.
They already send me naked buggy pics.
Those are tough enough to explain.
BTW the beer was only a reference to the fact they don't like glass containers.
Many desert users (seems especially those affected by alcohol/testosterone poisoning) like to break the bottles (sometimes in the fire) and leave the
glass laying around.
I guess that passes for skill amongst that crowd.
Of course we bring a different attitude to the playa.
One of respect bordering on reverence.
But we also know the value of setting and maintaining a good example.

Might want to check with/get permission from Carroll Foster for some of his pics. He has some smokin' Ivanpah/NABX pics when he was invited out there
by Ground Industries. One of his pics was on the GI home page for a while last year.
Carroll can be reached at:
