Win a new HQ Montana V Kite
Win a brand new 2010 HQ Montana V
Don’t miss your chance! Enter the Kitestorm Circuit Race on Saturday, February 20th for your chance to win the grand prize – a 2010 HQ Montana V 9.5m kite.
Kitestorm is an annual event held on Lake Champlain, Vermont – February 20-21st, just outside of Burlington.
Never been snow kiting?
At Kitestorm you can get a taste of the sport in the free clinics, freeride to your heart's content and challenge yourself against others in the first
Kitestorm Around the Islands race. For more information, contact Stormboarding at 802.578.6120 or e-mail: rachael@stormboarding.com
Team HQ Powerkites will be on location with a huge quiver of Montana Vs, Neo IIs, Apex IIs, Scout IIs, Hydras and Rush Pros for you to sample.
But we digress…
The Circuit Race will be for all riders looking for a reasonable challenge and some personal satisfaction. The lucky winner will take to the snow with
the HQ Montana V 9.5m.
The Montana V is a highly refined foil kite that combines stability and performance using developments in paragliding technology. A higher aspect
ratio with more efficient profile provides increased depower and quicker turning speed. The flexible canopy better absorbs gusts for a smoother ride.
The Montana V is easy to handle and offers high-end performance for the demanding pilot. The bar system has been redeveloped and the new molded 'EVO'
chicken loop offers increased safety and user-friendliness. It packs tightly into an ergonomic backpack with attachment points for all kinds of
boards, helmets and harnesses. Whether you want to explore the backcountry or focus on freestyle, the Montana V delivers.
Design Features:
- Leash-less safety system
- Double pulley speed system with Ronstan Stainless Steel Pulleys
- Y-Line design with colored lines
- New 50 cm (7m, 9.5m) or 60 cm (12.5m) composite bar and state of the art chicken loop
- Redesigned shape for more turning speed and depower
- Water repellent skin, highest quality materials
- Bomb proof construction
- Simple relaunch
- Easy handling
- Dirt-outs at wing tips
See you on the ice!

I'm ordering one tomorrow! The Montanas are vastly underrated by those that have never flown one. I can't wait to see how nice the V is with all the
improvements.

Got a chance to fly a montana IV yesterday. Lots of power and lift, and it almost seemed like the kite wanted you to go upwind! I have to agree BB
seemed like good kites.

Hey Chris!
Thanks for comming to Kitestorm and for the new Montana 5! As a Peter Lynn rider I probably wont use it much but you know Molly loves her Apexs and
she's psyched to have the M5 in the house. Something with a little more "zing" than her Apex2's. I'm sure she'll use it enough for the two of us.
I'm NOT gonna dump it on Ebay.
We're glad you guys made it to the event and we really appreciate HQ's offering up the M5 as a prize. It really gave people incentive to participate
and I think everyone had a really good time. It was nice having dinner with you and talk kite stuff.
Sorry I didn't thank you in person but we were totally spent from the races and had to make the trip home so we left early.
Hope to see you next year!
Chris

Chris,
Congratulations on the win. After our dinner with you both and hearing about Molly's growing quiver of Apex IIs (heard she flew the 10m in the race
heat on Sunday) I figured the Montana would be right at home at your place.
We love the Kitestorm event. After four years of attendance, I can't imagine HQ Kites would miss another.
We left a 9.5m Montana demo with Rachael, so if anyone didn't get a chance to try it, give her a shout.
Cheers!
Chris

I'm kicking myself for not demoing the Montana V while I was up there. The winds were so good on Sunday that I didn't even want to put my kite down
and switch kites. But I bet that 9.5 MV would have been perfect for the winds we had. I kept seeing Montanas and Neos fly over head so obviously
lots of other folks took advantage. Thank you Chris and HQ for your support of Kitestorm. We had a blast and will be back next year as well.
