There is a video on the AKA site showing a bridle grab of a guy while fliing a kite a bit smaller than Dave,s. He was lifted about 60 ft. up and fell
to the ground. He did live for a couple of hours but I'm sure it was not good times. Maybe a harness would have helped. But not getting in the bridle
as it was going up would have been better.
