Not yet Dino, but I already love my 4.7 and 2.5 Rages ,so I have been wantin' one since they came out. I really like Flexis handling, they are top
notch. I need somethin bigger than the 5.5 century or the 5.0 sprint, for those days when I can barely roll around. But I don't want a lifty kite
like the aces , already got some smaller ones for those nukin days.

This is a fantastic kite. I've had days where it saved the day. I've considered selling it before as well as asking myself if I really need the 8.6
Reactor II while having the Blurr 7m. I always conclude that I need both and probably the 10.8 Reactor II as well. This big Blurr will smoke it
upwind. I've had times where I felt like I was going within 8-10 degrees of dead upwind and I might be conservative on that. This is with the kite
well powered. I'm not sure the AOA adjuster is so helpful with this kite but I've fiddled with it just to mess with it. Mine is Hulk colored. Hope
you find yours soon. Don't scrimp and fail to get the nice Flexi handles with it.

Assume you mean the Pro-Links.... I thought they were standard on the Blurrs unless you went KO.
Kind of strange.... Firewirepl had a Rasta 7M Blurr KO for sale ($375
) and it languished for months before finally finding a home in Buenos Aires.

So BB , I'm gonna take that as a yes ,on me getting a 7M blurr.:cool2:
I am at the point of getting the bigger foils now. Maybe next irs refund will be for an ARC? This year the missus needs a used car and a new pc.
I can build the pc cheap enough , But i'm gonna need a few grand for a hooptie. So all I get is a BLURR and some BLING for my buggy( alloy rims).
Next year ,I might actually fly something other than a FB foil. Doh!..... That will be 2011!:o my credit/ debit card will die then . Or
something like that.....:eureka:

The bigger foils just open up days that you otherwise couldn't roll. I told Angus one time that I couldn't afford NOT to get the 8.3 Reactor (at the
time) because I would frequently go on beach vacations camping with the family and there I would be with all that sand and a bag full of kites that
were too small for the winds. So yes, the Blurr would fill the next notch up in your quiver and do it with style. I got mine to replace the Blade IV
6.5 I was trying to buggy with. The only thing I would worry about was whether to get the 7m Blurr or the Reactor II in the 6.9 size. Those are some
fantastic kites as well. You seem to be a Flexi guy so that issue might not bother you as much.
I'm also impressed that you are thinking about getting an arc as well. I think about you often and a comment you made some time ago poo pooing
depower. Maybe it was in jest but depower is definitely something you need to experience to appreciate. More appropriately, I think you would like a
kite with a "throttle". It's really fun to back off for your turn and then hammer it to accelerate away and then find that bar position that lets you
maximize your power right up to where your back wheels start to slip. Aim for a 12 or 15m Phantom if you can catch one or otherwise most any 12-16m
that's in good shape. Check out the favorite arc thread to see what others like.

BB, i got my #@%$#!ty side too. Look at them Pansh's in my quiv.:D And , I don't think I poo-pooed the arcs, just am not in any hurry to spend 12
hundred bucks on a kite. That I am not sure it is going to make me any faster. Oh, wait a minute ,I never mentioned I was a speed freak. Are them
arcs fast? Real fast? like record setting fast? Cause that is what I need . A rocket engine on strings! yeah, that's what I'm looking for . Or
the closest thing to it.:wee:

i was thinking the blurr was more expensive than the reactors and vapors, but it doesn't seem to be. Atleast from my current price lists ... who knows
what the actual price is at the moment though. Angus is on your side of the country if anyone can get you one he can for sure.

I might be the odd man out on this one but I was disappointed in the Blurr. I ride Biv's but was thinking about getting some race kites when
Flexifoil introduced the Blurr. Flexi's marketing of stability and speed had me sold. I was able to get a shiny new 5 meter blurr to demo on a day
that had perfect onshore winds. This is great I thought,,,,,,, I can test the 5 blurr back to back against the 4.9 blade IV in consistent wind
conditions to see what kind of speed can be had. How much faster than the Blades will it be? I couldn't wait to get riding. Well,,,for the wind
speed we had I was consistently getting 38mph with the 4.9 blade. What could I get with the blurr? 31-32mph at best. We had low tide so there was
plenty of room to work each kite to its full potential. I went back and forth between the two all day and no matter what I did the blurr was always
slower, and by a lot in my opinion. I also tried every setting on the AOA on the blurr and still couldnt get any better than the 31-32 mph. In this
particular case I think flexi's marketing was far superior than the product. In my opinion you won't go any faster on a Blurr than you will on a rage
assuming all other variables equal. Great Flexi quality,,,,Yes. Super fast race machine,,,,,errrr,,,,no. If you enjoy your Rages and want more
speed I'd go for a full race kite or perhaps a Reactor II. Personally I ended up getting a Yakuza GT and haven't had the time to get more than an
hour on it but in that time I can tell you with absolute certainty that the Blurr is no race kite. The Yak blew my socks off. The Blurr???? Gentle
and stable yes. Crazy fast no. Perhaps a Yakuza, Spirit, or Vapor might be worth having a go on. The Blurr is a well made kite and all but I don't
think its performance is much different than a rage. At the time of course they were priced like a race kite. Since then they dropped the price to
where it belongs,,,,, just slightly above the Rage. Just my 2 cents of course. Hope I didn't upset the apple cart too much

I have to agree with the guru .... my experience with the blurr was very similar. I didn't have exact speeds to compare, but the kite was just not up
to expectations. A u-turn butan had much more speed than the blurr and just as or maybe more stable than the blurr.
I have a vapor here, but I have not flown it yet. If it flies half as fast as it looks .. its going to get sketchy!

No upsetting of any apple carts with me here. This is a good healthy discussion comparing experiences. I switched to the Blurr from a Blade to get
away from the lift the Blade offered. I also felt like the Blurr was better upwind than the Blade. I think the lift dialed into the Blade is not
what you need for upwind performance. The Blurr is NOT a race kite though. No doubt, if max speed is what you want then one of the modern race kites
Yak GT, Vapor, HQ Prodigy, PKD combat (among others) would all need consideration. Most of my buggy experience has been inland winds that shift angle
and come and go so a race kite would just be frustrating in those conditions, not to mention that I never had room to let one loose. Thus, terminal
velocity has never been a big criteria for me in the past. With wide open spaces and smooth winds along with a set of HOOJ ones, the race kite will
certainly give you top speed. If you need more stability, the Blurr or Reactor II is more appropriate imho.

i have 7m and 5m Rasta Blurr with Prolink handles.
i don't have a whole lot of time on the Blurrs but was going to state what guru said. most of the buggying i did/do is in higher winds(smaller kites).
i feel the fastest kite in my quiver is the Reactor and it handles very crisply (granted it's a 3.8m) but i flew WolfWolfie's 4.9 and everything
seemed comparable so I think the Reactors are going to be faster per given size. DereS-P-A-M-L-I-N-K-s got a set of Razors that we compared with also.
I haven't even unrolled the 6.9m RII yet.
We had a 6.7m Core against the 7m Blurr one day and the Core sure seemed to have better upwind performance. Blurr seemed to hold it's shape a little
better in the lulls.
I like the Blurr when i feel like relaxing because it is slow(er) and i buggy in tight quarters mostly. don't have room to really stretch the legs
until fall when cropps are off the fields.
definitly try before you buy if possible.

Thanks for the input guys. No rockin apple cart at all kteguru, in fact this kind of exchange is why I like the PKF. You may very well have saved me
from being disappointed. I really like my rages, and I would like to add another, but they dont make the 6M anymore. That is why I was eyeing the 7M
blurr. My biggest consideration is actually size not speed. Sorry for being misleading. I had beergoggles on last night. I need a kite for those days when I can just barely roll around w/ a 5M. I'm still
open to other solutions though. I can only work w/ 500 bucks for this kite, so them fancy schmancy race kites are out of my league. And I am not about
to spend 500 bucks for big Pansh sprint, I think they are a BIT overpriced. the search continues.......

Perhaps a used 6.5 or 8.5 Blade if you can find one (I know I'm biased ). With the AoA on its lowest setting they have very good upwind and very little lift. Your welcome to give mine a go at Wildwood. I just
checked on Coastalwindsports and Angus has the 6.7 Core with line and handles for 519.00 brandy new .

I"ve been thinking about this and you really don't get a 7m kite for high speed, but just like you said, to be able to go when your 5m won't get you
going. If the wind conditions are steady and won't go over 14 mph or so, a 6.5 Blade would be ok. You will encounter lift if you buggy with it in
winds that gust higher though. For the job this kite will have, I think you would be happy with the Blurr or the Reactor II, or a Reactor I for that
matter. You really owe it to yourself to try each of these before you plunk down your hard earned dollars. I'd really like to have a buggy session
where we had all these out at the same time with at least 3 buggies running and make a side by side run and then everyone trade kites. After the 3rd
pass, something has risen to the top for the current conditions.

BB , it would be nice to set up some kites and try em out w/ a bug. Unfortunatly, I am pretty much the lone kiter/buggier around here,so me trying
all of em is a mute point.I would have to drive hrs just to get where there are other KBers
kteguru , I really would like to get a new crispy kite . I will see ya at WW, might just take ya up on that offer. But this kite money isn't gonna
last until May , I haven't even got it yet, and my pocket is gettin warm already. And there aint nothing wrong w/ really liking one kind of kite type.
Look at my quiv, nothing but foils and a rev for kicks and giggles. No LEIs, bows, arcs.
And I'm trying to be open to all ideas for now. Still trying to figure what will suit my needs the best. Which right now seems to be, something
that will allow me to buggy when nothing else that I have works. I have lots of high wind kites, and a few medium wind kites, but I got no low wind
kites. So to increase the amount of days I can buggy I need more sail.

Tonka had an 8m Reflex for sale at $500. I did not fly it in the buggy. I thought it was pretty nice. Bladerunner took it for a spin on his
blades. I have not flown a Blurr, but I think my 7m Reflex is a way nicer kite than my 7m Bullet ever was.

Perhaps since you have several high wind kites in the same size you could sell one of them to help fund your new light wind monster . Just a thought . Wildwood's not getting here quick enough:wee::wee::wee:
