I am just upset. Here in Montreal, it's all on ice. We got almost nothing this year.

When I watch the news, they keep telling us that North East of USA is getting it all.

We've got it all! Not really, We're seriously down from our average 200", but we do have snow and wind on the Tug Hill! Wind forecast for the weekend (Fri.-Mon.) is from the west at 8+ mph, not really crackin' but enough... It's usually more than forecast on the hill anyway, usually worth the drive!

i don't know enough about snowsports. But is seems you'd hardly keep anything from disappearing into all this powder! Baltimore region snowfall is already ahead of Buffalo and Caribou Maine!

I'm stuck indoors... hungrily watching kiting videos on Youtube. I feel like the dirty ole man in the raincoat who sits all day in back of the adult theater...:moon:

I'm keeping an eye on the Florida weather reports again...maybe waiting for the right roads to clear...

Back on topic - the snowstorm millibars are in the Cat 2 Hurricane zone! Talking 50 mph winds some places...megadrifts!!!

Well they lied again about the storm at least for us. We got about 2" of heavy wet snow. But the winds are picking up. We get drifted in here a lot when it really snows but I think this one will be fine. The feilds up the hill are barely covered. This is unless we get a large blast of snow tonight. :wee:

This storm was a big bust. We got maybe 1/2" at best and some spots have nothing but grass.

We ended up with about 4" of wet snow.
Doublespeed & B-roc Are you guys anywhere near Southwick? I used to go up to Lake Cogamomg(?) a lot because my Ex-mother in law lives there. It was a great place to skate years ago.

The only Southwick I'm aware of is the Southwick Zoo but I thought that was in Mendon so I'm not sure if we're talking the same area or not.

(Un)fortunately every lake in the area right now is great for skating as the snow disappeared several weeks ago leaving only cold temps and lots of ice. Great for skating but I'd prefer to be kite skiing. Winter started out great for us but we've been snow deprived since late December.

I think I'll be headed back to the beach to landboard before I get out to kite ski again this year.

You could always bring the kids to lake Q for fun on the ice B-roc. Dan's got blades on his buggy and I'll be testing out some new blades on mine this weekend also. The wind looks good for sunday. Maybe we can tow Pauls sled behind the buggies:wee:. And of course the kids are always welcome to ride with me:smilegrin:

Ok so one more dig for the weatherman!!
They were calling for 6-10" of snow from last night till tonight. Then yesterday they changed it to a total of 1-3" thru tomorrow.
This morning at 6am I had to clean 6" of fresh heavy snow off of Sandy's car and then my truck and plow not only our driveway but our whole road so she could get out to go to work. I guess the plow guy watched the weather too and slept in! It is supposed to snow all day and thru the night. I have tomorrow off from work too WOO HOO :wee:
Granted we like the snow a lot. But these weatherguys are sucking cheese this year!!
