MBS - Roadie Tires - ken's review
Just wanted to let anyone know who has been thinking of buying these tires, SHOULD GET THEM!
1. they have more grip than the normal t3s on dirt
2. bomb proof construction
3. tons of rubber
to elaborate... the field i just had a session on is about 20% saturated with water still from the last rain. These babys gripped to the earth like
an octopus to a submarine windshield. i was blown away.
im actually going to email chris at mbs and let him know how good they are for kiting.
only down side still is the price @49.99usd i feel they could be a bit cheaper.

You think these would be better for kiting than their standard offroad tires? I would have thought they'd be best suited for hill bombing on
pavement.

thats what i thought also, but to be honest they grip as good if not better than the standard t3s that come with their core95.

Isn't $49.99 what the going rate is for all MBS tires. I think the MAKs come in for $59.99 or so. If you really wanted something cheaper you could
shop around for the various Cheng Shins. Not sure how much it's going to gain you.
Does the $49.99 for the MBS include tubes? It is unclear on their website. The 59.99 for GI MAKs includes tubes.
If tubes are included, figure they run $5.00 to $6.95 each, so you are actually paying about $7.00 to 7.25 per tire.... not too shabby.
If tubes aren't includes, all the MBS tires suddenly seem considerably more expensive.
I think my pocket protector just spontaneously combusted. :sniff:
