Pulse 2 D-power questions
Can I put a long rope on my chicken loop to allow for more travel and thus more d-power. I was in a dicey situation today and with the trim pulled
all the way and the bar all the way out I was still to powered up. When I first bought the kite I thought the throw was short. I was hoping to be
able to almost flag the kite out at full d-power.
other than today I love love love this kite. ( and it was only for a couple of minutes while I fought some gusts.
Thanks Dan

make sure front and back lines total length remain the same when fully powered
and you can still reach the bar with your arms when total depowered

the actual throw via factory specs is 45cm/15 inches....................were you flying static? was the kite at zenith while you felt overpowered?
what was the wind speed and what size Pulse 2?
I have 16 inches of throw on all my FSers and can feel the difference in depower and speed with the bar out but only in the dynamic (movement) mode.
If you were flying static and had your P2 at zenith you wont feel the full effect of depower.
Buzz is correct....with your bar all the way in, your front and rear lines should be inline were they larks to the bar leaders.................

Thanks for the info. I was kiteskiing on a lake in warm temps yesterday and when I started I took of from a cove and landing there in the gusty
conditions was a little harder than I thought when I took off.
I need a new rope on the chicken loop. What is the spec on what I should replace the original rope with?
I will check the line length also.
Thanks for the help and I was sure the "can" prefaced a question?

Nope, that's just a strangely phrased statement. The period on the end is the big clue

the "spec" on the depower line is 86cm long Dyneema 12 strand braid (amsteel) 1/4" and they contain a 600lb core. normally braided line is hollow,
but the 600lb core has saved many folks from a catastrophic line break. cost is $7 if you want one from us.
