1st time

Hi,
I have just started to learn to snow kite this year and this event looks fun so I signed up.
I don't even have a buggy. I am considering buying one in Vegas. Are there vendors at NABX?
I have a couple of kites: 3.5M Hydra, 4M Scout, 8M Access XT, and a 13M Frenzy. Oh... and a 1.9M Prism snapshot. Will any of these work?
All my kites have bars. I have noticed that on many of the videos people use handles with buggies...what is the advantage?
Also, are there food and product vendors at NABX or is everyone on their own.
Thanks for any help you can give me...I really don't know what to expect.

Cheers Tom P:singing:

Tom,

there are a couple shops in vegas .. Kent at a wind of change and Corey at wind power sports. They will be able to take care of you with a buggy. Be sure to give them a heads up before you come, because chances are they will be on the playa with the rest of us. I'm sure they would even be willing to bring it to the playa for you if you pre order.

No sales are allowed on the playa as of years past. I don't know for sure if its the same this year or not, but i would image it is. Besides non of us want to work while we are there. we are there to have fun like everyone else ;-)

Yes, your kites will work.
The bar/handle thing is more about personal preference with some pros and cons for each, but bars work fine.
Food will be available if you register, but if you are real hungry you might want to bring some extra. some of the kite manufactures will be there to show what they have and let you try out some of the stuff.
I know PKD doesn't want to take there stuff home on the plane so........

Appex buggy, Libre hardcore buggies.
Flexboardz. Blokarts.
PKD Century Soulflys. NPW's. Nasa Stars.
A few other less flown oddballs,
Line sets from 10" to 328" or 2m to 100m.
worlds only AQR that works.
North American distributor for PKD.

I believe that HQ is going to be sponsoring a Peter Lynn comp buggy that will be raffled off at the event.

You might win it!

I suggest you DON'T rush in to buying a buggy until after NABX. The whole thing is a huge education and you will make a far more informed purchase if you wait.
You won't be able to buy a buggy on the Playa but you will get a chance to see and try pretty much every buggy that you may want to buy. You will know how to get what from who once you have experienced all the fun.

Fly whatever you are familiar / comfortable with! You have a great quiver !

You know you can use an off road skateboard or rollerblades if you prefer ? They are a closer cross over to snowkiting. Both will be at NABX . I'll be one of the nuts on off road rollerblades. :duh:
Say High!

Kites: 2.5m Profoil , Quadrifoil XL kitesurfer, NPW 5 Danger.
Flexifoil: 1.7m Sting, 4.9m Blade 3, 9m Blade 2.
Flysurfer : 19m Speed 2 SA, 7m Pulse
Peter Lynn :18m Phantom, 15m Synergy, 10m Synergy, 1200 Farc, 460 Sarc, 130 Tarc, 5m Peel, 4.2m , 6.4, 8.5 C-Quads, 3.5 LS2 single skin.

Rides: Flexi / P.L. Frankin'Buggy , Shaped + straight skiis, sand skis, Coyote blades. Core 95 ATB. RKB R2 ATB .
