I am assuming this is the same individual in the message pasted below? Very sorry to hear about this accident, seems like there have been too many
lately.
Hello Region 7
I wanted to pass this along to the region. Quite a few people have had contact with Blake and I though you would like to wish him luck.
This hits close to home and it has been the 2nd serious accident in the last few weeks. Be careful out there.

Subject: Prayers for Blake, Please!
Good morning to you all,
As some of you know, & many of you don't....My Blake was in a serious
kiting accident on a reservoir in the Denver area, late Wed. afternoon.
He was air-medivact to Swedish Medical Center in Denver. He's a VERY
lucky young man! First of all, he has his "rock" Jaime!!! He was wearing
a helmet (Thank GOD), & angles on the lake got to him w/in the first few
minutes!
He was picked up out of the lake, hit a building, was drug thru a
parking lot, then hit a tree! He has a broken pelvis...in several
places, a large puncture wound on his right buttock, & several damaged
vertebrae. He has had 2 surgeries to clean, dress, pack, & watch for
infection in the wound on his butt. They've done 3 CT scans to check for
back, head & neck damage! They still plan to take him back to surgery on
Mon. to put pins/screws in the pelvis. He's been alert, never lost
consciousness, & has had his dumb scense of hummor throughout. No
internal organs were damaged....except a bruised rt. kidney, & a small
bruise n his right lung. He's been fitted for a back brace, & will
probably be in it for 3-6 months. The good news is sooooo much! He WILL
be OK!!!!!
I went up as soon as I got the call from Jaime Wed. PM. I came home last
nite to shower, sleep in my own bed, & gather a few things to go back &
spend several more days. Thanks to my nephew Houston, I was able to get
home on no sleep since Tues. nite! We'll be on the road again shortly.
Most of you know my cell#. I can't have it on in a lot of places in the
hosp., however, Jaime & I do ck our phone several times a day, so, leave
a mgs & I'll call you back.
There's a web site if you go into Swedish Medical Center.com you can go
in to send patient e-mail. They print it out & get it to him. Just put
it to: Blake Pelton Rm. # 4402. My sister-in-law figured this out & he's
already gotten some mail thanks to Aunt Judy!!!
Gotta get this out to you all & get back up to see my baby boy! My cell
# is 719-232-xxxx
Please send up a little prayer for my Blakers, for a speedy & 100%
recovery!
Thanks & love to you all, Sally
