Carpal Tunnel from Static Flying - Possible?

I used to fly static allot, I mean ALLOT 4-6 hours a day for day on end for about 6 months last year.

I was in the kitchen a felt a strange tightening sharp pain in the base of my palm. About the tempo of a normal heartbeat at rest.

It got me thinking about what the strain of holding kite handles for long periods of time with allot of pull. I have a feeling it could lead to early CT syndrome;

Carpal tunnel syndrome occurs when the median nerve, which runs from the forearm into the hand, becomes pressed or squeezed at the wrist. The median nerve controls sensations to the palm side of the thumb and fingers

I wonder if too much video games can hurt the hand?

Tendonitis would be more likely, I would think. Carpal tunnel usually comes from vibration and especially impact as far as I know. I have some mild symptoms of it that manifest as tingling and numbness to the point of a little pain. No expert, though. I'm with Drew on the video games thing- acceptable risk:alien::lol:
