Board size???
So I'm a complete newb on the water and am looking into getting myself a board so that I can join my friends on the lake. I have been wondering what
size board to get though. Winds will average around 25-30at peak for any water useable speeds. I weigh 185lbs 5'6" but hope to be lighter when the
summer hits. I have been looking at a couple boards but don't know which one would be more suitable.
2010 best spark
135CM X 41CM or140CM X 42CM
2009 Criminal Jester
145 x 43
Both boards are in my price range and both seem to do what I want from them. I know that the bigger the better but worried that if I go with the
145x43 jester that it will be to big when I want to start pulling off jumps and tricks. Any help would be appreciated thanks.

for the price and what you get ... BEST SPARK. I got one from the on demo in the 130cm
if you're planning on riding in lighter winds go with the 140cm

spark has concave bottom ??
135x41 is a good choice, the slightly bigger boards will be fraction easier to start , width is the "bigger" that really makes a difference.
not sure the details on these boards , rail lines , rocker , stiffness, flat bottom.
board skills?

yeah I was thinking of that size board as I want something that will be good after I get better. I have zero experience with water board sports. I've
never even water skied, so thought that the bigger board would make learning easier. But would definitely be happier if I can go smaller and still
learn. My snowboard skills are all I have to reference from and not sure if that helps at all.

I think you'll find your snowboard skills come into play quite a bit here so you're in good shape there. If you can, get behind a boat on whichever
board you get and get the feel for it.
