Football field?

Since Collier County is being less than cooperative and deeming kite buggying "inappropriate" for seemingly every location I have checked on, it would appear I would be limited to local football/soccer fields. (or other fields similar in size) The local fields I would be restricted to with the buggy have been open to landboarding in the past so I dont see why they would have issues with a bug. Since I have never seen a buggy in person, and really only know what I have read here about buggys, would that be enough room to have some fun, or would that just be frustration?

Thanks guys! (and girls) :puzzled:

i agree with using undersized kites. mostly football/rugby fields for us too and we also fly a little undersized. allows for easier maneuvering due to all the obstacles/extra added fun stuff coming at you in a heckova hurry.
also when certain eyes are upon us we can instantly ride slower (by not working kite so hard) and present a picture that we are in 'complete' control and not a nuisance/danger to others.

yes I am of the same, am another mad one from OZ, football fields are the go up here in the mountains, no dramas as yet, have to be totally aware, when kids about .

Will be a pain soon, season is about to start, goalposts will be fun to miss, maybe will have to use goalposts as jibe points, will know soon enough.

I may have to settle for the smaller fields for now. Just a shame that we have so many wide open spaces that we are unable to use....oh well...been dying to get my rear in a bug sooooo....looks like I wont need to get a bigfoot, an XR+ might do the trick!

Yes, most any buggy will do the trick. However, a lot of the soccer/rugby/football fields i ride on aren't nearly as smooth as one might think. Then there is farm land (once crops are off) that can get rough at speed.
I am spoiled. I started on a PL Race (suspension equipped on standard rims/tires) buggy and then went to a Libre Super Truck with big BFs. The dimensions are pretty close and the seat position is nearly identical. The ride(cuishiness) is very similar. Suspension vs big fatties is very close in my opinion. I have ridden regular PL XR+ and PL ST. I prefer the cuishy ride of the first two for sure. I never realized how rough 'grass' fields were/are until I rode a standard buggy. Plenty of chattering teeth. I took the Libre Super Truck on a 1/4 section of mostly weeds and a couple of marshy areas. I spent hours riding through/over tall grass/weeds (weeds nearly eye level in seated in position). Doubt I would have had any fun on a standard bug. I was well powered with a 17m Speed 1.5 and a Pulse2 12m. Weeds would have grabbed the standard tires and the day would have been lame.
If you can afford the BF buggy it will afford you more 'pleasurable' rides on variuos surfaces and conditions.
As far as extra size/bulk goes...there is a new, bought a while back, XR+ in my garage that I thought I might use "when I don't feel like hauling the big buggy". I always take the big buggy hence the still new PL XR+.
You may want the BFs.
