I look forward to the video. I made that run also with a good group of pilots. That was one of the best buggy days I have ever had

That day was truly awesome. There were several of us that made the trip somewhat together. We all intended to go together but got separated and took
3-4 different routes but everyone got there within a few minutes of each other. The video will be awesome to watch. I was never so glad to see
Screwyfits' MC Hammer pants when I pulled into the destination.
Going back, everyone stuck together and waited on anyone that had any troubles. This trip really tested your kite and buggy skills. You had to use
everything you knew to stay out of trouble. There were times you had a car width path that you had to go along and the wind might be from the wrong
direction or just quit blowing like it did to Screwy. Right when it mattered most, his kite just crumpled and fell into kite eating bushes. He and
the kite were back in order soon though.
All this plus the camaraderie and concern for your fellow man was an experience I don't think I'll ever forget. There is a group shot of us at the
banner and go pro video I hope follows soon. I'll put the bigfoots on for this one next year though. Some places are pretty rough. Thanks for the
great trip guys, and thanks for a superbly (unbelievable how well organized it was) run event. It's like a professional team put all the pieces
together and it seemed to all go off without a hitch. Thanks NABX team.

I got a flat and beamerBob was way out front, Looked like a mile away, while I watched his kite make it's way back to camp. BeamerBob was the hero of
the day when he came back for me with the tire pump

The first time i did the trip was a couple of years ago, and i never could get anyone interested in going back there, or with me, it just got put off,
or didn't happen.
I'm not sure why it caught on this year but i'm so happy to share this with everyone, as i was high as a kite the first time i made it there and back
using a phantom 6(way to big, and way to small).
Both times i made it out this year, was with the phantom 9, which again was way to big, and even still way to small.
More mishaps on my second trip(3rd overall) this year with a complete munch job by the bushes, which admittedly i was lost in. Required a deflation,
pack job, learned a new way to walk the buggy thru the bush holding the back axle and using the front wheel like a wheel barrow, till i found a flat
space, then re launch, never easy with those kites, no weights, no one around, and that wind, omg, it was all over the place.
Gee and Fast waited for me at the flag, i was so happy!
That night i couldn't talk, all because of the Out n Back. Could not think of anything else.
Seeing all the hands that went up who made it, priceless!
Thanks to all the amazing volunteers, team, and participants, this is the most buggy riding i have ever done at the event. I really believe we are
starting to figure this thing out.
Next year, we're going to try and get a sponsor to pay for the patches so we can give them to whom ever makes it there, sorry we didn't have one this
year, my bad.

Brian, I didn't even think about that from your perspective being able to see my kite that far away and coming back. I was hanging with someone else
that was having an issue and Coolbreeze came and told me your tire went flat. He asked me if I was going to go back and I said "well sure I am, I
have his tire pump." There was no other choice at all. I'm not sure I ever got called a hero before. :bigok:

It was a blast!
Great getting around all those bushes!
Came down a cople of times. Got tangled twice. Got "semi-obed" on the crab; braked the kite a bit and could walk over the buggy.
Had a bit of a time getting to the flag even that I was close according the the gps but eventually made it.
Had a great time goint to the outback.
Hope to make it next year to NABX.
Some videos at http://www.youtube.com/user/elbetuso
Saludos.

Here is the layout on Google Earth just to see what these guys went through.
The winds were typically sort of WSW to SSW near camp but I hear that they changed a lot the farther south you went on the playa.
