Mougl, your buggy actually rode back from NABX with me since I had some extra room. Glad to be a small part of your buggy beginnings. It was back there beside my PL/Flexi bug with Screwyfits massive aluminum front fork and downtube, but I haven't seen any little buggies running around the garage yet. <Reference to XX buggy thread>

watch those plunger-pin style QR's- they can jam under load. Keep it clean and inspect often. I tie a big bright bandanna to the release with a lanyard of heavy dyneema or similar. Gives a lot to grab onto in a brown-trouser moment.

Mougl, that is a terrible choice of QR. It will not releases like ya think it will under load. I used to have one, then I heard they did not work under load,so I hung in a tree and tried to pop it . Damn thing took a tremendous amount of pull to trigger, more than you will be able to generate while flying superman thru the air. You need to spend the dough and get the 70$ stainless torsion QR. Search the forum for Quick Release, and you will see some good posts w/ pics and links. I am only saying this cause I would hate to see ya hurt by a safety device that did not work properly. Also the load rating on the bronze one is pretty low.(less than 1000 lbs probably) When dynamic loading rigging gear ,the load weight should not be more than 10 percent of load rating,if it is going to be in motion . ( like topping a tree or snatching a human 30 ft in the air with wind power). A load that is in motion exerts way more than just it's weight on the rigging gear,it is a multiplier of force.

Wichard 2673, $80

Expensive but....

Weldngod said it well

The trip lanyard is subject to wear, so replace it regularly with Spectra/ Dyneema
