Does anyone here do any kite skating with rollerblades? I just bought a pair. I use to have some leap skates but my feet were too big. So it didn't
work out so well.
I got some Gateskates but am trying to figure out how to get my feet in them too ... about 5mm too long are my shoes. I'm going to get around to
buying a size or two smaller shoes ...
Dude that is a sweet video I will have to check out more when I get off of work. I was looking at buying a pair or Nordic Powerslides but I talked to
a guy who sales them and he said my feet are too big I need a 14 mens US size. The 13 is pushing it and they only come in a 12.5.... So I will roller
blade on pavement and build my custom buggy for now.....
I can get into US13 Nike's but not 13 Reeboks :puzzled: My daily leather shoes are size 12 and my bike shoes are too big at 12, trying to find 11 -
but that's still bigger than 99% of the shoes in this country.
Size 13 ... at least although I have a pair of Roces Majestic 12's back in NZ ...
they must be US12 surely. My Mission skates are US12 too - they're a good tight fight though ...
I started buying rollerblades at garage sales just for the wheels. Like Phree said , it gets expensive otherwise. I didn't mind I was having WAY too
much fun to worry about a small cost for wheels (and a possible fine that I never got )!!!!!
Old videos but shows some nice kite skating in parking lots. Some shots of Nasa wing (NPWs) flown with short lines. great for crowded parking lots
or around people.
No offence meant but I am curious why you would protect your knees and elbows but not worry about your brain ?
I kind of pad up the opposite way ? Helmet for sure then the other stuff . My logic is I can live with a busted joint but don't want to lose any more
of my brain function .
You are absolutely right about the protection! Your logic definitely makes sense.
However, I like to feel the wind! I like to hear it in my ears and on my hair. Its not only the feeling of freedom that I enjoy but it also helps me
interpret the wind. I have tried the helmet but its a totally different thing. I can not fully understand the direction and its velocity the same
way.
I know its certainly more dangerous but its a risk I am willing to take.

Played inline hockey for 15 years or so, competitively for 4 ... only time I banged my head was intentional (I threw a tantrum) but it did get a puck
in the head once too ...
For the last ten years, I been playing in shin gaurds and gloves and that's it. Never even banged up my elbows
Still ... I'd rather not take a binding nut in the head. I usually have one on the board. Great place to mount the GoPro too

You sound like a Harley rider....only they don't see the risk
