I just got my first buggy. It's the Flexifoil with short axels and standard wheels. It arrived yesterday, and i took it out for the first time
today.
I had a blast riding it on a soccer field at a local park. Although there were some agrivating moments, mainly getting the kite wrapped around the
top bar on a soccer goal
I feel that the buggy will be great for freestyle, and will take a fair share of abuse. It is comfortable for me to sit in, 5'10 175lbs. It is
lightweight and I purchased mine at a very nice price. There have been 2 down sides to the buggy.
1) When assemblying there was a small dent in the end of a tube, inwhich i had to insert a smaller tube. The indent was enough so that the inserted
tube would not fit in. However since it was right on the tube opening I used pliers to bend it back out. No harm done, It's now like it had never
been dented in at all.
2) One of the locknuts that holds the front wheel asembly to the frame has malfunctioned. It was very tough to tighten durring assembly. I had to
take this and another bolt off to transport the buggy today. When trying to re-asemble, the nut wouldn't screw on all the way. However the bolt was
tight enough for riding. So at the end of the session I had to remove this bolt again to break the buggy down and fit in the car. Low and behold,
the damn nut wouldn't come off at all. I even broke one of the wrenches included with the buggy, trying to remove it. So I had to strap the buggy
ontop of the car. Tied down with only sweatshirts :o it was a sketchy drive home. Tomorrow I'll have to saw the bolt off, and replace it with new
bolt and locknut. Ohh well.
All in all, I'm pleased with the buggy tremendously. I have a feeling it's gonna be just the buggy I was looking for.
