| Kite having a "propeller" effect -- 
 
 
 Multiple times upon flying my kite, sometimes it does this propeller thing, as if i'm pulling too hard on 1 side, when in fact both handles are quite
even. I sometimes have to pull 1 side kind of far in for it to stop, direct it up, and then even the handles out, and it's ok. 
However, I do notice I have to hold the handles a little uneven for it to even fly straight and be level.
 
oh, also... just a comment... i got an idea to grab the power bridle and attempt to fly it like that just to screw around, and sure enough, it flew in
my hands, i was like COOL.. needed no brake input

There's your problem !
 
Either your lines , knotts or bridles are not equal.

 I'll give everything a thorough check... 
It's not all the time, however. Only after having it in the air for a little while, it will do retarded things like this.
 
I'm assuming brake lines are supposed to be slightly shorter than power lines, as I've strewn the lines out before and they were about an inch
shorter. I think i'll check the kite itself to be sure..

 Brake lines should be the same length as the power lines.  The power lines have likely stretched a bit.  But that can be dealt with by using a
different know on the brake leader. "I gave up on wind speeds... its either crappy, gravy, epic, or stupid... in that order"--Drewculous

 Brakes maybe too tight.  It can be normal for them to trail behind the kite in a slight arc, as their weight and drag create tension too.  By flying
the kite by the front bridles in your hands you have already demonstrated it is 2-line biased and does not need a lot of brake tension. |

 Your brake lines are too short and possibly uneven.   This is causing the kite to go into an uncontrolled spin at random times.  Basically the kite is
way to sensitive to your inputs and once it starts, it is very hard to stop. 
Add some pig tails to the end of your handles on the brake lines and extend them out about 4 inches and try again.  I think you will have a totally
different kite that you can fly much easier.  Play with the setting by moving the brake lines in or out another 2 inches until the kite behaves like
it should.
 
An afterthought....make sure that you have the right lines connected to the top and bottom of your handles.  The stronger (or thicker) line needs to
be on the top.  If you connect them upside down then you will stretch out your brake lines and that too will cause what is happening to your kite.  If
you did stretch out the lines then you will either need to shorten the leaders on the top of your handles or lengthen the leaders on the bottom to
equalize your lines and properly tune your kite.
