Just out of curiousity, why the insistence on a Deluxe 12m P4? I've spoken with someone who has one, and he felt that the deluxe version was really overkill for that kite. It isnt really a low wind kite due to the amount of depower it has. It also takes some time to work up power, so it performs much better as a higher range kite. I have another buddy who has one, and rides it quite a bit, once winds pick up. He uses a S2 15m SA as his low wind engine. Just thought I'd throw that out there...

although the deluxe kites are far superior in nearly every way to the standard fabric kites.... i have to agree, for the pulse and psychos in 8-12m range the deluxe is overkill. unless you just like the color scheme of the way the deluxe look.... but its still very expensive.

for the speeds, i'd argue the 12m in deluxe is still a good choice, but perhaps the 10m would be overkill. mainly the deluxe fabric and 2.5 fabric are best for the high aspect kites or any model in large sizes 15m and above. the fabric is quite durable and still carries the warranty, but i would wager a 12m standard fabric would hold up to crashing waves and abrasion better than a deluxe p4.
