Wind speed monitor?

Any ideas where I can get one at a reasonable price?

Ive spotted one for under £20.

This a good deal?

Yes it is what I use. Here in the USA it is known as the LaCrosse wind meter. Inexpensive enough to lose from time to time (how do I know that?). Prolly not as accurate as the $100 units but be real; the wind is going to vary from moment to moment more than the margin of error for a cheap unit. I can compare it to the readings of a local commercial weather station installation that I can read from my iPhone and it is in synch.

If you have an Iphone (this is timely to the other post about gps's) there is a wind meter app for .99 that rippsessions posted about a while back. I will swear to it's accurate wind readings.

I go by two simple rules if the winds blowing fly and if you can't stand up in the winds don't...lol.

One note about anemometers, when buying, do get the ones with the fan-on-post versus the fan-on-axle/in-cylinder style. The latter must be pointed into the wind direction to get a reading, while the fan-on-post style can just get poked up in the air.
