Painted brake discs are just like when we were teens and my friend spent about 3X the value of his car to chrome out the engine so it would have less
wind drag.  Right down to a chrome starter, oil filter housing, Altenator,
valve covers, wire weaving and Dist. Cap cover.
It takes all kinds.
Except the chrome just holds all the heat in. The paint on the rotors is just stupid and deadly.

That was a classic. That thread went on forever. He "thought" he was adding Nitrous to the gas or something cause the bottle looked the same.

I can shamelessly admit I once drilled into the battery while drilling a rivet out of the side panel on a Ducati 996.... $100 that could of easily
