Score!
Mad props to dave brown for putting me onto this, and thanks to the guys involved for the great deal!
2 new (to me but in perfect condition!) Spleene boards arrived tonight in the post ... for once, shipping cost me nothing a Door 154x42 and a Rip Plus 138x44 ... for the princely sum of GBP200 which these
days is only Y26,000. Now, consider my rather beat-up Airush Square One cost me Y40,000 :ticking: and you can understand my :wee:
... if I can't go upwind now then somethings wrong with me
Yeah... I got a kite. Or two...

154x42 = 6.5m2
138x44 = 6.1m2 :ticking: that's interesting ...! I think the Nobile I had in Thailand was 144x45?
vs
North Sumo 155x41 = 6.4m2 but curved rails, I'd bet the tips are like ~35cm
Airush Square One 175x49 = 8.7m2 big soft and curved rails, big thick board ...
I might turn it into a mutant or something :D
Yeah... I got a kite. Or two...

so your boards are bigger than some of your kites? :D
JK I know what you mean... but just imagine an 8.7m2 board... the thing would be a boat at that point

Didn't think to check the flex ... will do tonight when I get home - less flex is better for planing, yeah?
Spot the dumbass :moon: who didn't consider the decimal places
1.75m x 0.49m = 0.86m2 :D ah-whoops! :embarrased:
Hardr - the day before I rode the Nobile, I was on a Square One same as mine here ... was getting up and going but it was working the kite hard. Then
on the Nobile - wind felt about the same - it was POP up and planing! Much better board!
Yeah... I got a kite. Or two...

herc - nah, it's said they're not so good as light wind boards. Something about the rails being too soft. We'll see. The Door is apparently what you
want and you should be able to get more modern, better boards for around that price surely!
... although, if the wind is light I'd rather be out powered paragliding
Oi - what's wrong with me?
:D
