Off topic, CATS

OK I've spoke of all the wild cats around the house. Well most are getting gone again but one has had 5 kittens. They have taken up crapping in front of the house in an old flower bed where nothing grows now. Wonder why.

Plus, flys and stank every time you walk by.

Well today a scarecrow will arrive. Its a motion activated sprinkler head. I can't wait!!!!!

I hope to have the camera ready. It will be too much fun.

Anybody ever use one of these scarecrow's?

One of our cats also doesn't mind the water.... sticks his head under the kitchen sink, climbs into the shower, bobs for tortellini while it's cooking....

OK he's not always running on full wattage.

Hmmm.... sprinkler as the summer heat rolls in..... motion activated.... you might well become party central for the local cats, dogs, and random neighbor whelps. :o

Time to order the motion activated camera now. ;)

ROFLMAO

You guys are killing me. I never looked at it from that perspective.

Well, we do feed em. Now I guess we can wash em. Just trying to make em poopie some where else.

I can see it now, they'll be dragging a slip n slide over here and making that thing go off all day. My water bill will be sky high.

in his backyard. Man it seemed like every cat on Long Island made the journey to sh*t in his yard. at any given time there were two or three cats out there all hunched over doin their business...:lol:

New, sounds like you need a dog too! j/k I am allergic to cats so that solves most of my problems. I do have two neighbors that have cats that really like to do their business in my kids sand box. I have two dogs that hate cats and when I see the cats out back, I call the dogs to the back door and let it rip! I have never seen cats clear a 5 foot fence so fast in my life! The dogs can't catch them of course, but it sure keeps the number of trips down that the cats make! My American Bulldog also works well for keeping unwanted sales people from staying on my front porch for too long!

LOL the story's I could tell. Like the St. Barnard that caught a cat and the Shepard that tried to save it and get it back. Tug o war with two really big dogs. I busted the Barnard in the head with snow balls (ice really until he let go) but it was about five minutes too late, what a mess.

The scarecrow came today. Got to get some hose pipe ( thats garden hose) and try to get it set up. I hope I can be there when they come by.:lol:

HR I haven't heard that term in a while. I have a cousin that worked at a farm and garden supply store and he heard all the different country names for stuff. Fertilize is a noun it turns out. A "spray" is actually a can of spray paint. He had long hair and an earring, so those farmers kept a watchful eye on him. I've shed more than one tear laughing at his stories.

Too late the war has begun. Me 1 and cats 1.

As I was setting up, got a shoe covered in poop. Cats 1

As I finished, here come a kitty. Ding!!!! kitty got wet. But I think it was the noise more than the water that put em on the run.

Because all others left the yard also.

BB I know how he feels!!
Those who met me in WW know I lack hair and beard trimming skills. My neighbor came over yesterday to tell me the guy behind his house was arrested that morning. He said "No wonder they arrested him with that long hair and beard he looks like a criminal" I just nodded and said "well it's not his first time going to jail, you just can't trust those long haired bearded guys" :D
Though this guy is a mess and in trouble a lot!!

Thats Charles!! wonder what he's been up too.

The scarecrow is working pretty good. Cats staying out of that area and thats a good thing. It just got another kitten as we came back in. Kittens don't really care or seem to learn they just cut a trail.

They are pretty fast, as it goes off they can get away before the water hits em.

I'm sure the cats are learning it and can run by, go around or what ever but one thing is for sure, they are not stopping there and taking a poop with the water coming in.

Wish I could get a vid. Its really funny. But they can read minds and just some how know when you have the cam.

The deterrent is working great for the poop area. Cat poop free now.

Cats have improvised another plan. The spot where I'm doing the tree swinging thing. I give the cats 2 more scores actually 3.

1. board tires have poop
2. didn't know and hands got pooped
3. Genius counter tactic by the cats

I think newtokiting knows a thing or two about cats.

Good heavans what were you thinking?

They have a cat on the Phoenix Mission to Mars.

Cats just act dopey to assuage any damage to human pride.

Right now most of them are probably holed up in a secret bunker receiving their final briefing on the next plan of attack.

If they start calling in subcontractors, all is lost

Even on their own, they can be pretty scary once they get organized.

It is my JOB to feed the cat. ( I call him Dumb ass) If he sees me heading toward the stairs he is on the run to the master room bath (where his food is) If the bowl is still ful the "dumb ass" still walks around looking at me meowing to feed him. For 4 years I have fed him when I get up in the moring and again when I am getting ready for bed.
I do believe he thinks he is in charge. Dumb Ass!

LOL, makes me wonder what they really want or know.

Have no names for these except one. Call it jackleg. One hind leg/ foot pointed outwards for a long time, made it walk weird. But its the only friendly cat of the bunch now and the leg is better.

The 5 kittens are a hoot to watch. Had two running up a tree and one decided it would just jump back from the tree, landed on a concrete stepping stone that was up on its side then fell to the ground.

He decided he would watch the others play for a bit.

The scarecrow still tags one every now and then. The older cats walk right behind it.
