what is your go to kite?
All of us have one, what's yours?
Mine was the twisterII 5.6 till I discovered depower...now its the apexII 10m. Gets me going in even very light winds and is well behaved even when I
make rookie mistakes. Not to mention its an attention getter being a big green thing in the air. People always stop and ask what it is and what I'm
doing. Gives me a chance to break out a smaller kite and introduce others to the sport

My 7m Pulse.
Flies pretty early if you fly it hard. Keeps going in to some crazy high winds. Packs small . Sets up quick and is a crossover.
I prefer to fly my 15m Syn once it is flying but set up issues make it #2

Flexifoil: 1.7m Sting, 4.9m Blade 3, 9m Blade 2.

You will probably all laugh, but it would have to be my 4.8M NPW. It will
get me moving in the buggy at about 7-8mph wind, and I can hold it up until about 15 or so with long (20M) lines, then up to 20+/- with shorter (15M
or so)lines. It was my first kite on handles, my first 2 kites, the Imp trainer and 8M AccessII, on bars, though fun to fly, are not near as fun to
fly for me. I can fly the NPW static in 3mph, less if I want to work for it!

In GA my gtk was my 4.9 reactor or my 7m Blurr or my 15m Phantom. The wind blows here in CA and I'm beefing up my quiver with some kites in the 2-4m
range. Prolly looking at a PL viper in 2.6 and a Reactor II in 3.5m. I'll probably have an Apex II 7.5 before nabx '11 as well.

depends on location:
at home: high (3.2 Vapor) / mid (5.5 or 7.8 Vapor) / light (16.1 Vapor) ... even though I have the whole series, i still find myself on these sizes.
at nabx: last year was the RII 2.2 and this year was the Vapor 2.3 / 3.2
at sobb: i had fun the RII 5.5

RII 5.5 if I'm up for a spanking, viper 3.9 fits my (lack of) skill level and still makes some pretty good speed.
Aim low. Reach your goals, and avoid disappointment.

for static jumping it's either the blade 6.5 or the ace 8 for me. Much happier on the blade tho! The ace extends the wind range down quite a bit,
but it's a lot pickier about the winds it likes.
fixed bridles, flying static, been two years now... ??? folks must be wondering....
sting 1.7, dp power 2.5, crossfire 3.2, ace 5, blade iv 6.5, ace 8, ace 12...
also a couple of arcs, 12 syn and 12 phanny, but i\'m not yet up to speed on them.

I'm REALLY loving the 14m Gin Eskimo, and when it's really blowing I drop to the 6m. I think the 10m would fill the small gap. Just wish they were
sold here in the states....I'm sure we'd see more.
