Help on a kite
I own a 3m 2line kite and I'm looking to go bigger. I have no need to kitesurf but I'm looking into snowboarding and maybe landboarding. What would be
a good size for a little more power. I would like to go to a bar aswell, that's what I have with the 2 line

Wind is between 5-20 more or less 5-15. I live in wisconsic, so we have a lot of big open fields and frozen lakes. And I was looking at the 5m tenson
kite. It comes with a bar and handles and has a good price, so I'm not spending over 500

The Apex II 5m will get close to your price range at $620. The 7.5m is a better fit for your winds at $700.
It is very difficult to get a DePower for $500 unless someone has one used here. But usually they are the higher end kites and still are over $500

I am not familar with Cobra Kite. There are some folks on here from overseas who are happy with them. ( usually beginers who don't have much to
compare to )
These kites are pretty much the same price as ones made by reputable companies. I would be tempted to buy a proven quality used ( depower ) kite if I
was in your position? You can probably find one in your budget if you shop hard.
These are 4 line fixed bridle foils. You will get much, MUCH better control of these kites with handles.
The people who ride ATB and on snow tend to move in to " depower " kites. They offer a better wind range and gust control.
Try and get together with the locals and get a feel for what works for them. DON'T rush into your purchase !

So a bigger depower would be better than the tensor

When you're balancing on a board, a depower makes life easier than a fixed bridle.

not necessary bigger, you mentioned frozen lakes. you can glide easily on smooth surface, but a 5m would be too small for landboarding.

Thats not a Cobra kite. The Tensor is made by Prism, it comes with a combo Bar/Handles so you can figure out which control option you like.
Couple of reviews for ya;
New Kite .. Prism Tensor
Prism Tensor 4.2
Looks like the consensus is that its a good kite on par with Prism's stunters quality wise.

So should I go with the 5m? I am only about 150 lb and I'm 6'1". I have a pris. 2.5 and I'm looking for a kite to pull a lot around a 5m. I'm thinking
the tensor will be great but the apex looks good too, but it's a little expensive. Any final opinions

Got a like that tensor. Never seen one in person but the bar / handle combo is a sweet looking set up.
The kite itself looks awesome. I would also think the quality has to be top notch coming from Prism.
The old P3 I have is one tough kite. Its seen the ground come up fast and held up in nuking winds.
Broke a line in strong winds and Prism sent out a new set, no charge.
I think the company is on the right track and already knows the value of great customer service.

It's would be between that and the apex II, but for the money the tersor will be a lot cheaper, but I just would want it for snowkiting and maybe
landboarding. The buggy thing won't work because there are no beaches for it here. Tensor only goes up to the 5m, is that enough power?

Remember that the Apex is a depower kite, and you would need to have a harness with it. Additionally, the 5m Tensor (being fixed bridle) should put
out more power than the 5m Apex and quite possibly as much power as the 7.5m Apex.

Personally, I really don't recommend Pansh kites unless you truly can't afford anything else. A 7m Ace should provide some very serious pull. I know
that the 6m Ace that I had could provide scuds in around 7-8 mph of wind.

id stay away from pansh, since you have limited experience--they are ok, but there are much better options......ive never flown the tensors, but i know
that prism has excellent customer service--i wish my synth manufacturer had that kind of tech support.........
