Sorry to sound lame but had to share. Bought my son his first kite and gave it to him for his b-day on Friday. Took him out and well he really wasn't in the mood to be there he flew the kite quite well for about 20minutes. Of course he crashed several times but he did several figure 8's and a few loops. I got him to let go of the bar to show that the safety worked and I think that's where I lost him for that session but all in all a good experience.

After getting a coffee I took him to another park to let him try riding his bike. He is eight and never could get him interested in riding till now. I followed a method of taking off the pedals and letting him coast for a bit till he understood the balance and then half hour later added the pedals. Within a two hour period he went from being nervous without having me hold the bike, to fully riding. This evening he spent a good three hours cruising around my parents farm, only falling a hand full of times.

Anyway that was my day just had to share the stoke of being a proud father:wee:

I know as 4 sons have done same thing, and are all very competent downhill mountainbike racers now
