Ah the great debate. Sail tape or a patch kite would fix that, but unless its color matched, it will look off; if you care.
Pin holes generally aren't a huge problem, like a hole or rips is, but if it does get stressed it can tear. So if the hole is on an area of the kite
that doesn't take stress, it's not huge, but there is a possibility of a tear forming (which would likely cost 40$ to fix). You can get a small roll
of sail tape is a $10ish bucks a roll; I think of it as insurance.

where on the kite is the hole - front or back sail? Leading or trailing ege? Near a bridle connection point or seam or not?

Is it really a hole or a flap like tear or just a blemish? One of the easiest and most durable, flexible, invisible way to repair a tear that doesn't
cross a seam and is not located at a connection point is to reach inside the kite with some scotch tape and tape the tear back together from the
inside with a slight overlapping of the tear. Lay the kite flat and from the outside spread a bead of CA glue (super glue, krazy glue) over the tear.
You don't need much but you do need it to overlap both sides and extend a short bit beyond the tear. Let the glue dry thoroughly. Reach into the
kite and pull the tape off. The bond will be permanent and near invisible.
Major caution - you need to get this right the first time and make sure the glue is totally dry before you remove the tape and before you fold the
kite back up or you will glue the sail to itself.
I've done this on many sport kites and a few foils and the repairs have lasted for years - no fading, no cracking no sand sticking to peeling tape.

I couldn't tell how big the hole is but its nothing to be concerned about based on the location. Tape, glue, patch - whatever will fix that.
