land kite or surf kite?

i've been playing about with a 3.6 hq beamer for a while now, and fancy getting something a bit bigger with more lift for a bit of jumping about on the sand.

anyone got any views on whether is it better to get a used kitesurf kite (about 9 - 10m, seen a few cheap recently) which gives me the option of heading into the water at some stage or stick with land based jobs?

for what its worth i'm about 16stone (200lbs or so).

STICK TO LAND KITES

STICK TO LAND KITES THOSE WATER KITES OR LEI'S ARNT REALLY MADE FOR LAND IN FACT THEY ARE VERY EASY TO BE DESTROYED IF THEY CRASH ON LAND CAUSE THEY HAVE INFLATABLE BLADDERS THAT WILL BURST IF IT GETS A HARD LANDING ALSO A 10M WATER KITE NEEDS ALOT OF WIND TO FLY MAY BE A MONIMUM OF 12MPH, THEY ARE ALSO VERY POWERFULL AND WILL SPANK YOU IF NOT CAREFULL.
