Wow somebody else in southern Ohio with a power kite. I thought I was alone. There isn't any kite shops around here but the online service is good and
many of them are members here.
As far as places to fly Voice of America park off Tylersville road is a good place to fly but buggying can be a problem. I live in the Milford area
and Miami meadows park is a possibility.
I have a pretty good selection of kites so contact me and you can try them. I might even sell some I don't use a lot.

good but its kinda far, there is a park down by the river i forget the nam but it might be good for you do do some landboarding or buggying

I know this is an old post but the otto armleder park seems like another option. The website specifically says "get out your kites!". I went there
once but it was flooded so I couldnt try it out. Its near lunken airport and the little miami river.

I go to VOA whenever the wind is good. Maybe we can meetup sometime!
Some places that seem good for kiteSURFING around here are Hueston woods, Lake Cowan, and rocky fork lake (probably the latter two are the best?).
People sail there and no motorboats above 5HP allowed so they seem promising. I dont kitesurf yet, but thats my hit list once I take lessons next
month down in florida. Windfinder has wind forecasts for those places and the wind is usually quite stronger than VOA at the same point in time.
Too many kites, boards, and etceteras.

Hey NorCal
I've heard a few people kitesurf at buck creek / cj brown reservoir. You can probably find them there on windy days... especially after the swimming
beaches close (labor day weekend) and the wind picks up (same time). Look for COWnet in yahoo groups (Central Ohio Wind network)...
