Is this a good deal on a landboard?
Hey found a mountain board on craiglist and the guy is selling it for $40
Heres pic of it
Is $40 for this board a good deal? It does not come with any straps so I would also need to buy that. He said tires hold in air fine and spin fine.
So what do you guys think of this board to use for kite landboarding?
Thanks

hmmm... definitely a piece of mbs history... certainly a bit of a bygone relic... prob functional enough to learn a little on...
but i imagine some downsides would be: heavy... subject to major speed wobble... hard to find replacements for... will require some work, and when you
pair the $40 with another $40 for bindings thats $80... some people are selling boards on this forum for $40 more than that, and you would be getting
a much better board
cheap... yes
functional... maybe for a while
good deal... depends- i wouldnt buy it (but then again, i have a board)

Unless you're real hard-up, I'd pass and spend a couple hundred dollars on something modern and decent - it'll last you for Y-E-A-R-S!!!
Yeah... I got a kite. Or two...

the board is cool. I would buy it for a discussion piece to hang on the wall, but to try and actually use it is another story. Like the others have
said spend alittle extra and get something a bit more functionable.
Out of curiosity where is this board. Like I said I would like to have it to hang up on the wall.
