Rhymes with limerick

Kiting on water what do you do?
You send her from ten to two.
Ripped from my hands causing some swears.
Donkey dick broke, time to get some spares.
Better buy more than a few!

Okay, not the most perfect limerick form but hey.

Lost my V13 for a fleeting moment yesterday. Just ripped out of my hands and went for a tour (hurt like a bugger too - think the chickenloop whipped me on the way by). I was close enough to shore that a quick 50 foot swim got my feet on the bottom and hen a 100 yard sprint got me to a kite tacoed nicely, drifted to the water's edge (perfect side, side-on winds). sanded the kite down and then went back to the bar.

Airush donkey dick, MIA. Total castration you could say.

I had a Zero4 setup in the trunk and it had a velcro removeable DD so I was able to swap it on but you know what - a weak DD on the Psycho sending me to the 5th line three times and now this happening makes me think I better get a few spares. Anyone know where I can order just the velcro-on donkey dicks? I'm looking for the kind that double velcros around the loop of the Chickenloop. The one that broke was stitched into the "crotch" of the chickenloop.

What's probably happening is that the CL is being unloaded and sliding down, then getting a load on it and pulling through the DD and bye-bye kite ...

Let me guess, you dirty ol' handle flier you - you're hauling on the bar like a gorilla aren't you? yeah me too ... I've knocked the CL off several times doing that, on a bunch of different bars.
Try steering the kite with your thumb and index finger only - you won't be able to pull the bar hard enough anymore - to get you into the habit of steering with the bar, not powering the kite ;)

Yeah... I got a kite. Or two...

Could some of this issue be solved if a person were to mount the DD on the spreader bar pointed outwards instead of on the actual chicken loop??? Just wondering

Yup, and there's a thread on here somewhere about it. Perhaps I can velcro the incoming ones onto the spreader bar somehow but the actual solution in this regard was far better if I recall correctly.
