Need help with Pansh Ace 8m.. Doesn't like to fly with brake lines

Hey guys, I got my 2nd power kite the other day, a used Pansh Ace 8m but I'm having some issues with it. I've got the power lines on the top notch and the brake lines don't seem to be adjustable. Anytime I fly it, its been very hard to get up, it will pop up a few feet and then slam back down. I took the brake lines totally off the other day (I know... scary huh) and the thing popped up no problem; So I know its got to do with the brake lines, the only thing is they seem to have plenty of slack in them... but in any case if they do need more slack what would be my best option? shorten the power lines? any ideas would be awesome. I'm still semi new to power kites. Thanks! Jon

you are correct the ace does not like brake tension. All you need to do is tie a couple new knots in the power line leaders (the lines coming out of your handles) of your handles and connect the flying lines to the new knot. Make sure both sides are equal. Not sure how much brake slack you need but I would put a knot about 3 inches back from the factory knot and another about 6 inches back. That should get you very close and you can fine tune it from there if need be.

You can shorten the power lines at the handles or lengthen the brakes at the handles. Might have to add some line at the handles for the brakes.

But your right in saying it doesn't want to go up because of the brakes.

If you can get it just high enough to turn it sideways then fly towards the edge, then up, you may not need to adjust the lines. Once its up and flying you'll be ok.

Well until it catches some good wind, then sit down low like sitting into a chair and be prepared for a pull. Let go when you need to and use kite killers.

Don't hold this kite over your head, in gust it will snatch you up. With most ace's they want to be kept moving all the time. If you notice it collapsing, turn back short of the window, if it gets to the edge too far it will probably fold up.

Same for overhead, let it shoot to far and its going to fold on you. Keep turning it and don't be resting at the zenith.

You may be able to find some videos that show how people launch. Just taking a kite off the ground and turning to get it going, then gain height.
