One Bar all kites

Is there a no no nonsense way to set up a single bar for several Arcs?

A procedure I guess, where / what to measure to figure how much pig tail to add to the kite?

Should be simple but temps approaching 100 every day, I want to be quick about it.

I need to use a zero 7 bar that is set up for the 19m also on the 13m which has a zero 4 bar.

Never mind, they are the same. Kite pig tails little different, bar with trim adjusters out = same length.

Hardrock -

If you don't know of this site, check it out for all the info on Arc bar and pigtail setup: http://myweb.tiscali.co.uk/mx5alan/arcs/ARCsetup_FAQ.htm.

My guess is you could set up one bar with lots of trim strap adjustment (say 9-10") and lots of throw (say 14 -15") and then work the rest out with pigtails at the particular kite. But you'd have to go with a long bar to accomadate the steering inputs required for the biggest kite and that might be overly sensitive for the smallest kite (though it'll still work).

I bought the medium Navigator bar. It is adjustable in width so I can flip it for larger or smaller arcs + it is long throw with a stopper to make up for the need for pigtails.

Kites: 2.5m Profoil , Quadrifoil XL kitesurfer, NPW 5 Danger.
Flexifoil: 1.7m Sting, 4.9m Blade 3, 9m Blade 2.

You can also adjust the power lines leader at the bar - check the manual. I've "shortened" mine and no longer need to sheet in so far to get the kite flying.
My Scropions have pigtail extensions ...

Nav bar would be nice but I'm waiting for the price to drop ... in the meantime, I MUST get around to making some adjustable steering line leaders that hide under the floats a la North bars ...

Yeah... I got a kite. Or two...
