One of what? The Girl...well, that may cost a bit. :)

The Yakuza GT we can do, The one pictured is a custom color 12 meter that I just got in and it is awesome! The Ivanpah buggy we can do as well. :)

===============

Seriously though, this is one of the photo shoots we have done with the idea of a possible "Swimsuit Edition" calendar. When I presented the idea and a couple photo's to some of my stunt kite pals, they didn't seem to think it would be "acceptable" because the girls are not kite fliers and that the pictures seem to focus more on the girls instead of kites. My response was somewhat confused and this type of response was not quite what I was expecting so I would like to put it out to the general power kiting community to see what your opinions would be of it. Not all of the photo shoots thus far have been with power kites and we do have photo's of the dual line kites as well as single line kites. All of them are with swimsuit models, after all this would be a "Swimsuit" edition kiting calendar.

So......What'cha all think, is a swimsuit calendar something that some of you might enjoy? Or is it casting a "poor" view on kite fliers because we are displaying beautiful swimsuit models along with the sacred sport of kite flying? Should we show more kite and less girl (we are going to still produce our annual "Kite" only calendars)? I am somewhat hesitant after talking with some our local sport kite flyers, perhaps I am out of touch with the purity of the kiting world...or they are a more reserved than me....I don't know.

For me, I love kiting...and I enjoy looking at beautiful women....this way I can have one calendar on my wall instead of two or more. :) Just makes sense to me but I have been wrong before....

Let me know what ya all think.

I think it's an awesome idea. It's almost as good as the cat calender that's currently on my wall . Seriously, it'd save me from having to find a 2011 calender.

Now, if you could just get pictures of the models flying the kites, that would be even better.

Seems like a cool idea either way. I'd buy one, but my wife already has all her calendars all over the house...Though, if we are talking about 2011 calendars, I'd definitely pick one up, preempt the wife on getting her silly cat/landscape calendars.

i agree with ragden, havem fly the kites or at least look like they sorta belong. the heels in the desert with a kite doesnt mix. all pieces in photo are beautiful dont get me wrong, just lack cohesiveness

Sex is used to sell everything else on the planet, why should kiting be excluded? I don't think anyone would think for a minute that the women lying all over a race car or bike would actually know how to use it. Go for it Ken if that's your thing.

I was kind of confused with your friends comments as well since the same thing is already done with kitesurfing gear.

I like half naked girls.. I like kiting, but I don't like them together.

My wife is a kiter and stuff like that makes her feel like kiting is some boys club. Companies use it all the time for advertising, but you're sort of choosing your target market going that route. Granted it is a male dominated sport, but things like that make it less inviting for women. I'd rather see a calendar of hot women kiters tearin around on a buggy. That I would support. How would most of us feel about a beefy man with a speedo up his crack in that photo instead of a woman? I wouldn't buy that product..My mind would be tainted! Maybe thats how women feel?

The best model photo I saw was in my mechanics garage. It had a picture of a high maintenance woman with barely any clothes on. The tag line under the photo said "No matter how good she looks, some man somewhere is sick of putting up with her sh*t" haha..

So my opinion, I wouldn't buy one. Even if someone gave one to me, I'd toss it. In honesty, I thought that pic might have been a photoshopped photo.

While, I tend to think people get overly PC... I can see how it might not go over well with female flyers.

And yes, a calendar of female flyers actually flying, buggying, boarding, etc. would be a different kettle of flying fish. :o

Perhaps it's time to consider hiring Marley, the Ozone Dog. Heck.... Marley is even SFW. ;)

I would buy one.

While I certainly understand how some women may find it offensive....other women would not.

That is why people are free to buy it or not...their choice. My wife has gracefully dealt with my motorcycle w/bikini women posters for years. It fails to bother her.

As I am fond of saying, It's ok to look at the menu...you just shouldn't buy everything on it.

I'd really like the calendar if the girls were actually flying the kites, or at least trying. Even sitting in the buggy with a confused look on their face would be awesome. Then its not gratuitous.

Sounds like you are looking for a kite version of this.

Yes, there is a bit of cheesecake factor and not all of it is SFW, but....

On the kite side, I am a big fan of the Turbulence Angels... partially because of the name and partially because it always looks like they are just having a blast.
