Re-launching

Apparently a foil with handles and inflation with a bar is a huge difference!

Can someone point me in the right direction for a re-launch on grass with top edge down?

Tried and tried, no success.
Not like a foil where I could just pull a brake line to flip it.

In the bag:

-Rrd Type IV 8
-Liquid Force Assault 6
-Pansh Blaze 10 (Traded)
-Prism and other stunt kites.

on my LEI i have to pull on one of the outside lines and eventually it will turn up on it's side and catch the wind. sometimes it takes a few tries in lighter wind, though.
I'm sure it's slightly different for different kites but that's at least how I do it.
In super duper light winds you can even pull both outside lines and the kite will act somewhat similarly to a foil on handles pulling the brakes, but you have to make sure it has the height to turn

You should be able to get some local help on water at least ? Head down to Kite Beach by Rotarty Beach. Kelowna has a growing water crew. They have lessons available and I highly recommend them ! The will teach you a LOT about the local needs + boost your learning curve emensly! Skaha is also a great spot to learn. Not too big a lake with a road around most of it. Just stay away from the airport.

Check out www.kitesurfingschool.org for tons of good info.

My Mom is in Peachland. If you find a good snowkite or ATB spot around Kelowna PLEASE post it up ! I'll try and meet up !

I am U2Uing you a local kiteboard site that Ok. people all watch.

Hi

Are the inflatables in your avatar the ones your using?
Both of them will relaunch if you pull a steering line.
They will sort of skid on the leading edge of the kite to the edge of the wind window then flip over onto a wing tip and then take off.
I owned a Liquid Force Assault and they relaunch fairly easy in the right amount of wind. Ive never used an RRD though.
The six meter probably won't be to easy to relaunch until around 20 km/h of wind or even a little more.
If your pulling the steering line and the kite just slides about half way to the edge of the wind window and doesn't roll onto a wing tip for you, you just don't have enough wind.
The Assault will also reverse launch like wannabekiter said.
Just be careful because it will be directly down wind in the powerzone.
