Beachcomber Inn

Edit: The Beachcomber is closed until January due to storm damage.

The Beachcomber is located one block off the Seawall on 61st Street next to the Waffle House and near many popular restaurants. I've never been able to get them to commit to a rate this far ahead of time, but for the past three DBBBs they've charged $35 a night - $210 a week, taxes included.

The Hotel Galvez

The Hotel Galvez http://www.galveston.com/galvez/ is a popular base. Thru the years many have enjoyed this location. There have been many hot tub parties and meetings in the bar area. They are a full service hotel!

$69.00 a nite is the rate for the dead birders.

The Galvez is the best....
I love the place, they are a first class establishment and have everything, especially, room service!!!!
The place makes the trip a real vacation, I surely don't get that kind of service @ home.
Just don't use the hallways for getting the sand out of your foils. They really don't appreciate that, as I can attest to .......
See ya there, counting the days.

Jason,
That was from last year, my first time. I remember pretty well how great a buggy place Galveston is! I am still trying to decide if I will make it this year. My sons B-Day is the 20th so I wouldn't be able to leave till the 21st. Driving over 20 hours twice in less than a week is not fun. If I could only leave the 18th and come back the 27th there would be nothing to think about. Maybe I will see ya there too, less than a month now!!!!!
