Off topic but just want to know.

So this morning I went out into the woods and got my 1989 toyota 4runner that has been sitting there for about 3 years. I dropped a battery into it and fired it up and drove it to the house.
Heres my problem, Sandy says it is very important to have brakes on this thing to play with it. Oh the reason it has been in the woods is the brakes failed and I got it kinda stuck over a rock and tree. But the tree rotted and I drove it right out.
So do I fix the brakes on a wicked cool runner all jacked up with 6" body lift 40" tires :wee: or just junk it? It needs all new componants by the way. But with my discounts at Napa won't be to much.

well . . . .
at the very least, you should be able to fix it for 'not that much' and sell it to someone
else who wants to play, and, most importantly . . .
use it to buy another flytoy, no?

Very good point. But it is so fun to go woods romping in it. Home made heavy gauge bumpers and brush gaurds. Full roll cage, and the top still fits. Very beat up but still running. I'm thinking of fixxing it up now.

So the next thing you're thinking of is to grab a midsize flatbottom metal boat,
weld a couple of axles with wheels on it(lowset - hence the flatbottom skid, I mean skiff)
and hooking it on behind your romper to give Drew and boys a
drag-a-long . umm . . .I mean ride-a-long

am I right so far?

I didn't know that you wheeled Rock! You need to fix it so the boy will have something to learn on. Corey and I have wheeled out on the back 40 for years with some heavily modified Jeeps. Take a look!

80 Wagoneer 'The Pumpkin'

'81 CJ 7 that I picked up for $100 and that thing would go through anything.

I have to say the best wheeler I ever built was a 1988 subaru hach back. Modified the diffs for full lock 4" suspension lift and 29" swampers, Full 6 point roll cage. That thing was unstopable untill I crashed it. Even took it to the top of the hill in Muncin MA. I have pics somewhere. Will need to look around.
