Hi,

I have been flying stunt kites for a few years now but can do most stuff and am getting a bit bored, and i have been looking at traction kites for ages and have finaly persuaded my parents to buy me one, so its all good, but which kit for me, im 5ft 11, about 11 stone, i need a kite with a bar for when i hopefuly start kitesurfing, and i will be using the kite for KLB (kite land boarding) so which kite and board do you think are best for me? All advice appreciated.

Hi Roland,

I have just bought myself a 5m beamer, made by HQ.
It doesn't give an incredible amount of lift when on the zenith, so your arms get a rest, but drop it into the power zone and you're off.
It is my first kite and my neighbour and myself have no trouble with control.
It is excellent in very light wind (good for practicing) and pulls me (13.5st) in a good breeze on my Scrub blue reef ATB.
It is also one of the more reasonable kites (£140 - £170 depending on where you look).

I would highly recommend.
