So it's official, our permit application has been mailed. We are on for the weekend of Sept. 11/12.
PRAY for WIND!!!
Anyone willing to make the drive is welcome to come out and ride. It should be HOOOJ fun!!!
I would like to know how many of you are definitely coming so i can try and scout some accomodations and food for us.
Kelly if you can get some local motel names/numbers that would be greatly appreciated.

I'd love to make it cheesy, but unfortunately I'm cash strapped right now. Next year hopefully.

YES SIR EEEE fellas! Heard the APB on the news today
Been working my butt off all week and missed PKF a few days.
I should be there both days but might have to leave a little early Sat. The wife made plans to go to dinner with some old college friends and I'm
included. Hope it's not a late one and I can get back early on Sunday. I'm bummed I'm gonna miss the Chessy after hours antics Sat night.

I have wanted to try some buggy speed runs on a large piece of tarmac for a long time and am glad that I will finally get to try it. Thanks Cheezy
for letting us know that this place exists and for organizing the event.
I a looking forward to checking out Flody Bennett field and to hanging with the traction kiters who make it to the event.

Thanks Dean but I'll save the afterburners for Rian on the beach... afterburners + Tarmac = a whole lot skin I can't replace if something happens. How
long of a run do we have up there anyways?

From Google maps it looks like each of the 3 runways we have available are 3/4 of a mile long. Plenty of room to crack 60 . Or 80 or 90:wee::wee:.

Todds bringin the Afterburners? We may need brakes......and leathers ;-)
Btw, should I leave the buggy in Bigfoot trim, or change back to XR? The wide axle and stability of the BF are a plus, but the smaller XR wheels will
be faster and maybe have better grip? Haven't checked, but any way you can run the smaller XR wheels on the wide axle? The BF wheels use a 20mm bolt
and the XR uses a 16?

Yes Jim switch over to the smaller rubber, leave the drop tube and extended axle in place but change back to the XR front fork. You'll be rocking and
a rolling.
I have some 20mm tires for you to use with that extended axle .

Man, I wish I could be there! But if I'm gonna make Wildwood, gotta save my pennies...:saint: What I'd like to know, Dean, is how you plan to hit
60+mph on tarmac/concrete (some of it apparently textured!) with your butt only 4 inches from terra firma, without runnin over them HOOJ
BALLZ??!!!:shocked2: Anyway I wish I could join you all, have fun, be
safe(as possible) and see you in Wildwood!
