need to buy meself a board, the cheapest is the lion canyon but the wheels look a tad small, will it work on grass (not very short grass either which doesnt help.
i suppose i could just take the wheels off and replace them with bigger ones. how much are wheels?

Not sure where you're at but if you're from the states you can find good deals on different types of wheels at Northern and other places like that. There is a lot of info. here on wheels because of all the people making their own doomwheels so you might be able to track something down here as well.

If nothing else if you watch the ebay auctions you will see a fellah from Wisconsin USA who sells the Exsite mountainboards and he sells wheels in lots of four for dirt cheap, but depending on where you live i'm not sure what the shipping would be and i can't remember what size they are. He has auctions a lot on ebay so if you watch for it you'll see his auction eventually and the next time i see one of his auctions i'll link it. Hopefully that helps out a bit.
