World Cup Count Down (and my little problem)

So here is the Official World Cup Thread
we have 16 more days till all hell breaks loose.
I have been training like made and I am sure Rip has also. I havn't reaced him on Skype all week so he must be doing somthing.

I got the new Logo for rip yesterday in the mail.
I thought for World Cup it could be somthing special. Unfortunatly things went al little wrong (well actually alot went wrong) The lady at the Ad company asked me to describe Rip and his shop, I didn't have time to talk so I told her to come here. I thought she could see all of rips quailties in his posts.
Well she looked though the web site and found his qualities(even those she schould not have seen)
Thank god I only ordered 20 T-shirts and 100 bumper stickers.

ROFL!!!

I've been busy trying to play catch on my work before I leave.
I have a huge list of stuff still to do. Process all remaining kite orders, don't worry Kitebuggy Mama will be in control in my absence. In the USA you can still contact RRR (Monty) / Csa_D (Sean) or
Daskirtz.

Finish Grayland video so I can empty my hdd for WC footage.

Pack and bring all thr gopro and apple goodies to Europe.

One more weekend to go... I like to thank Ken 1, 2, 3, Grant, Ron, Tim, Monty, Sean, Bill, Morrie, and Brad for all their support. Also De Dutch : Ruudje, Ozzy, Arie, Michel and Marijn.

Sunny J you will missed. Next Time!!!

The only problem rip is giong to be is if he drops his kite BEFORE I pass him.
We will be starting in a rolling start with aprox. 80 people.
I have heard that Rip will be trying to start up front, I myself will be looking for a spot twards the back. This will give me time to be able to manouver around all the dropped kites and will lessen the chance that somone pulls mine down.
So as soon as I have passed Rip he won't be a problem anymore.

@Rip When you see me comming lay your handles on the ground so that there is less chance that I get tangled in your lines when I roll over them:singing::singing::singing:
I'll be waiting for you at the finish line with a nice hot chochlate to warm you back up!:wee::wee::wee:

lol ... my strategy is to remain infront with. I have a feeling the other countries with less experience will also remain at the back as everyone charges for the first maker. also ill be a little more upwind than everyone else too at the start somewhere between Ozzy Potters and Robert Smit, all while starring at Carien. LOL.

make sure your gopro battery is charged, so there will be evidence. Ive decided to put my gopro facing backwards so I can have footage of you. hehehehe

see daskirtz, you're missing out on this show.

if chris allows, ill be bring back the T's so you all have something to wear at NABX.

So my dry suit is here (Finally) I tried to kill myself putting it on the first time. I didn't know you have to cut the neck seal to fit your neck. I had a hard time getting it over my head and then it snapped around my throat, My kids got huge eyes as my face turned red and I started to pull like crazy to get the thing back over my head. The thing was so tight around my neck that it was choking me and slowing blood flow.
What a crappy feeling!!
Now I have to experiment with how big I need to cut it.

Does anyone have a tip for me?

Sometimes you can stretch them out pulled over a bowl and left to sit. I've always been to afraid to cut my paddling suits gaskets. If you do, use a new xacto knife blade and make sure there are no nicks or that sucker will rip on you and neck seals aren't cheap to replace.

LOL ... does your helmet fit over your head???

i wouldn't cut it, its suppose to be that tight so it makes a seal.

i suggest you wear your regular beach wear instead, the weather isn't that cold (its the same like Vancouver, BC).

I'm off I-35 between Minneapolis and Duluth. Pretty much in the middle.. I'd say middle of nowhere, but it's more like "an hour from everything". Good luck at the Cup!

If you plan to use it to kitesurf you will want it very tight. Mine is so tight that I know the feeling and STILL I have managed to scoop in water as a gracefully teabag along!

I am almost sure that with my Ocean Rodeo Pyro I have to change the whole gasket to change the size?

Rip' has it right now . Maybe he will look?
P.S. Rip' - you know you DON'T pee in a drysuit. RIGHT? ;)

Oops. I did once at Grayland because of the amount of redbull and vodka Sean was pouring in my cups.

Well I'm taking your drysuit to WC since the weather might be colder than I except and I can wear a fleece under it. I also just got sponsored from NPX Wetsuits and they sent me a new 2011 drysuit 5-4-3 but it looks more like a wetsuit.

Ok So I have it on a bowl on and will leave it there untill I leave on Friday.
I do have the feeling that you all planned this to help Rip finish before be. But Rip be a good sport and when I pass out in turn 3 cut the damm gasket so I can get some air.

"Don't pee in a drysuit" I think that falls under the say catagory as "Don't eat yellow snow"

@Rip If you are really nice I'll send you pics from DePanne on Monday when I'm back (but then again who knows maybe I'll just send you pictures of some other beach and call it De Panne):smilegrin:

Also really looking forward to seeing 70+ buggyracers start, hope the weather's good for some awesome pics.
And I'm also eager to see how many Vapors there will be starting, should be quite a lot :D

Dry suit part two.

so after 24 hours of Bowl therapy I tried the suit again. This time I had my wife standing by with a pair of sissors just in case.
Well I'm writing this so I lived through it. It was better but not really.
I went ahead and cut it. it seems to be ok. I was very carefull not to have any indents or so.
I will now be able to make it around 4 and 5 without having to worry about passing out.
Tommorow I am off for the last training session in Les Hemmes, France on Saturday and then De Panne on Sunday.

@ mj I am also courious how many from us will be starting with Vapor? I am also excited to see how many Apexx buggys are there.
Ruudje, maybe you should plan a group picture?:dunno:

John Jansen or Ozzy for first place.

i would have said Arie since its going to a highspeed race course however he has technical issues most of the time. i love the guy but who hand tightens rear bolts? one race he was on a few metres from the finish. doh.

lots of Vapors, hence the reason why i needed custom team riders.

same with the ApeXX, its the number #1 buggy in the world it doesnt get any better. Just look at the Ozone Ad in the magazines, what do you see first.

in a week from today I will be checking out the Redlight District, i mean at Peter Lynn HQ.

Go ahead and talk to the Boarder Patrol! They will be waiting for you. Whay do you think I'm going to France. I have a nice picture of you, name, adress,DOB, and Signature. I put a nice little letter together for you for them and will give it to them tonight.
BTW. I also sent a nice little note in your name to Customs in Holland. So when an Air Marshal cuffs you over the Atlantic think on me!!
so and now I'm off to France:singing::wee::singing::wee:
