Hey E.E.C. can you teach me?
I LOVE teaching this sport and would like to be certified to do so.
I suck on water so any previous thoughts of instructing that way are all but out. Besides , we already have plenty of schools on water. The closest I
can see in North America would be IKO snowkite ? I don't know of any certification for buggy and ATB schools?
Is there an official body that certifies instructors to teach buggy and ATB in Europe ( New Zeland or Aus. for that matter ) ? Are there shools set up
similar to those for water ? :puzzled:
Can anybody tell me if they could certify me overseas so I could teach with credentials here ?

BSKA : UK
BCH : Holland
GPA : Germany
APC08 : France
I suggest that NAPKA start looking to get instructors to so we can issue licenses for those entering competitions.
I vote that BR be an instructor he has the patience and mad skills so I doubt anyone would question this.

If I remember correctly Ozzy is an Instructor for BCH, maybe he could help you out.
But Before you can be an Instructor you first need to get a License.
Here in Germany we take a written test and have to show certian driving skills to get a "normal" license.
The written test has ca. 20 questions about the Fisly Rules.
The driving test consists of the 5m X5m box. Here you have to drive in the box turn around and drive back out the side you came in on without hitting
the markers, Then you have to drive into the box again and come to a complete stop of course without using your feet. Then you have to show you can
ride a 3 turn course with an unexpected emergency stop.
For an Instructor you have to be able to do alot more advanced moves.
Every once in awhile they offer instructor courses here but not very often. I think it is kind of a as needed thing.
Feel free to contact me if you want more information

Thanks Chris !
I'll get in touch with Ozzy ! I would kind of hoped that if it was set and I study ahead I could go through the paces in a 2 week vacation ? I am
aware going in that BCH certification would mean nothing of real value here . YET !
Funny thing happened this weekend . Roland was telling me how his 10m Speed 1.5 that I suggested as more appropriate than my 7m Pulse is TOO SMALL !!!
There is no set rule for the right sized 1st depower kite.

BLaderunner, you are a really solid teacher. You give patient, clear explanations and provide a positive emphasis on safety. I feel fortunate to have
had you as my instructor as I got started in this sport and frequently refer other newbies to you as I know I can trust the advice you'll give them.
It'd be great if you could actually credentialize your obvious skills as a teacher.

thats right, size - wind condition - kite skills : determine the choice (normally).

Awwww Shucks !
Truth is , you already knew how to fly. I just had to stand there and tell you how good you were doing + be your Kite#@%$#! for the day! Getting you
into this was a selfish move. I couldn't imagine a better KFF!
I put Airin on to my 7m Pulse at about 2 hours in !
YES ...... 7m is the right size for some folks!

I'll try to find it again, but there is a place that gives certifications/credentials of a sort here in North America and covers not only Kitesurfing,
but snow and ice as well.
It's a cert for instructors/schools. I found it once before, I think I can do so again.

Yes, I am aware that IKO has snowkite instructors. This may end up the simplest route for me. Not exactly what I want but a good step.
