Hello everyone,

I need to replace the VPC line in a friend's Scorpion 10 but I no longer have one to measure it. Could someone please post (or PM me) the following:

1) from leading edge to attachment knot of front lines (without the loop stitched to the kite)

2) from trailing edge to attachment knot of rear lines (again, without the loop stitched to the kite)

3) length of the VPC line itself.

Is the VPC dead on both sides of the kite that you can't just measure the other side? Or is this one of the Scorps that got it's VPC removed at some point?

I didn't see the kite yet, that's why I am asking the 3 measurements (in case I have to rebuiild the entire VPC).

If you're looking for the line length then it should be pretty straight forward to measure the distance from the lowest LE knot to the pulley to the lowest TE know. Fly the kite. If it doesn't feel like what you want then just shorten it a bit and retry. All-in-all the knots are really for feel and are rider preference.

If the pulley is not on the kite then I can't see why that really needs any real measurement so long as the pulley is above the highest know. You should be able to slap that on and then just play with the vpc line length.

But just in case, the kite will fly without the VPC, it'll just preform more muted.

the info is it's not in the arc faq... tho there is a reccomendation on vpc knots...
